Taksin and co. deny foreigners the right to own land in Thailand but Taksin obviously has no problem taking advantage of the more liberal laws in UK.
Apparently he owns a property here that he is now using as a bolt hole for himself and his family. I wonder how many more of his cronies also own properties abroad.

You can own property in almost any country in the world if you bring in the required amount of dosh, and we know he isn't short of a bob or two!! Is it unusual a wealthy person own properties around the world??
