Sweet doc, I reckon I will need to pack a light lunch to get to northmead. I think the website The Beer Store :: Buy Beer Online, World Beers, International Beer Shop, Australia as recommended by stevem is the way to go.

Cheers

Hmmm...I drive along there daily for work, never stopped in as I'm usually flying along in the right lane

Great news as 3/4 of my case has gone already mainly from co-workers and neighbours 'testing' the beer

I live in Perth and found an asian supermarket that sells Beer Chang. Its been altered to the 5% we are used to in Australia which is probably just as well given what the Thai version can do to you while you're minding your business.

I was in The Kingdom for my honeymoon in April (a very belated great to meet you Nicke and Eade) and found the first couple of beers going down well but then they just got to be hard work. Not that it stopped me.

Also is it just me or does Coke in Thailand have that syrupy postmix flavour or is it just me. Kept putting more Bundy Rum in it to keep it tasting ok.

Cheers all

That's interesting - I thought the beer LOS was about 6% alcohol .... my bottle of Beerlao here in Australia, states that it is 4.6% alcohol - how do they do that?

Maybe you can get your local bottlo to order some in for you by emailing; sales@beer-lao.com.au

Cheers

Thats right mate. I was enjoying a good "strong" beer during my time in LOS but found both Sihgha and Chang here to be recalibrated to Aussie market strength. Will be in bangkok for 4 nights in January so may have to get my fill then.

If I remember correct, the Beer Lao are around 5% in LOS also.
I didn't like it too much, prefer the lager type of beer instead. I bought it at the outside bar on Nana Hotel.

No beautiful? Never...It even has a nice gold wrapper.

The main plus is ~640mls (saves twice the amout of trips back and forth to the bar)

And we pay 0.70cents per big bottle here which make it cheaper than drinking water (cheaper to wash your motor bike in Beer Lao than water...man that starts to stink after about day 3).

I heard here recently they exported 10 FCL's to Melbourne for the "yuppie" bars and are charging up to $10 per bottle.

The CANS are the guaranteed export grade, quality and strength. The others (stubbies and big bottles) are hit and miss on the QA and strength.
