Niiiiiiiiiiicke!!!!!.........ID THEFT!!!!!..........someone is attempting to steal my persona!!!!!!!!........

Seriously tho' nel21son.......get a cab from the METER taxi rank....by exiting the terminal turning right imedaitely and walking down the ramp.....about 200 metres.....cost meter price + BHT100 for airport tax.....should be just under BHT400 all up......DO NOT let a tout grab you at the entrance.....it will cost more like BHT600

If this is too much for you there are minibuses runing that will drop you there but you will lose a chunk of your holiday time.....budget BHT200 + 2 hrs as opposed to 40 mins in the taxi......

Just grab an airport limo (550 baht) or meter taxi at the parking space (4-500 baht) to get to your hotel.

You can do whatever you like, visit a travel tour info desk/shop to get some ideas of what to do. But as you have a short trip, just relaxing isnt bad either.

I've never gotten them to turn on the meter... Always pay a flat fee of 300 to Laguna, not sure what the fee is to Patong but i'm sure it will be a flat fee of some sort.

I have never had a 'meter taxi' EVER try that on Phuket.. They know the appeal of thier service is fair priced meter routes. Trying to break the tuk tuk and limo fixed price crowd.

Sure your not thinking the airport limo service (silver cars).. Cost 550 to Patong.

If you're a nature lover, you can go to Phang Nga Bay (avoiding crappy tourist traps like James Bond Island, Ko Panyi and Phi Phi) and/or Khao Sok National Park. Khao Sok is my personal favorite destination in all of SE Asia... and I've been around.

I hope this helps...
