Price Guide
Hey there.
I am leaving for my first Thailand trip tomorrow night.
I am just wondering if you guys can give me a bit of a price guide on a few different things? I have had a read through these pages and think I can answer some of them myself, so if you could maybe confirm some things as well I would appreciate it.
I have gathered that massages cost about 250b? Is this per hour?
HJ's cost about another 300?
BJ's about 500?
"Boom boom" around 1000? On top of the massage price?
Also, what about suits? Middle of the range sort of prices? A few thousand baht, with two pairs of pants?
I am just trying to budget my trip. Should have about 30,000 baht to spend in 7 days. Should I comfortably be able to get a few suits as well as a daily massage with a happy ending?
Cheers!

You're right on the button with the prices I pay generally though there are times depending on your "condition" and how nice the lady is that she will persuade you to part with more for her services
Or many will agree to meet you after work at 11pm or 12

Personally, i don't think that 30,000 is enough for 7 days but i'm sure it's do-able. That's a little over 4000 per day. Everybody spends differently of course. I leave tonight for ten days and am budgeting 10,000 a day. Call it near to a thousand for your massage after extras and tip. That's already say 6000. If you drink in the Go Go bars every night, then i think the drinks were 100-150 each. Say you have ten to 15 bottles - there's another 1000-1500 per day. Then lady drinks. Then i always barfine at least 2 ladies and take LT from both - another 5000 per day. Obviously most won't spend this much, but this doesn't even include any daytime activities other than massage, such as shopping, bike rental, more drinking, ST. I reckon you will spend much more than you think and would be interested to hear what the outcome was when you get back.

I wont be drinking very much at all, and wont be hanging out with and buying drinks for the bar girls.
I am going with my mrs, and she has given me permission for one massage a day with a friendly finish. She is paranoid about disease too, so would rather I just get a HJ or BJ...
So all I need is a simple massage, and then the lady to knock the top off for me when she is done.
As for shopping, a few tailor made suits is all I will really be wanting.
So I think my budget doesn't need to be as much as yours. Plus my mrs makes about 5 times as much money as me (how depressing, but good at the same time ) so I wont be supporting us both through the whole week.

lol
Yeah things are ok!
I am still a student, hence my needing to know how much I should realistically budget for... So it sounds like 1000 per day for my massage and wristy.
Leaves another 3000 per day for everything else.

You'll love it. Real shame your mrs is going though IMO. It's a bit like taking a cheese sandwhich to an all you can eat buffet. I'm sure you'll still have a great time.

I had a suit made in Sept that cost B4500 which I thought was a good price for a style & material that I wanted.
However, the workmanship on the suit was really shoddy. I took it back twice & am still considering whether to take the trousers back again next time I go!

I was given a recommendation on another thread for Flipper lodge hotel in Pattaya. Apparently they have a tailor there who is real good.

I don't like the tailors in Phuket. They are too greedy for money. You will get better value for money in BKK or Pattaya.
The price of suits in Patong will depend on the material and your bargaining skills.
The quality of workmanship will probably be pot-luck, unless someone has a recommendation through personal experience.

In March I took that trip many times from Karon and it was 250 nearly every time. When I asked the hotel, they said that the tuk-tuk drivers generall ask for 300+, but to settle for 250 of find another. They also said that lower prices were not common.

G'day mate, I've budgeted 60,000 THB for 10 nights, and this is more that I usually budget. 6,000 THB a day is easy enough for me.
Thats a massage, food, beers, shopping and a LT girl on most nights.
Admittedly I show girls a nice time and make them feel special, so actually having to pay them for the physical act of 'boom-boom' often gets lost along the way, and is substituted with dinner and some drinks and brekfast/lunch the next day.
