Hi Mook,
do You mean going out in LOS, Phuket or somewhere out in US?
If in Phuket,
1. Normally You are not allowed to select type of music except Your voting by legs
Sry, I have friend of mine keeping bar/restaurant in Kata Beach, he sometimes plays Pink Floyd as well
2. Drink is SINGHA / big bottle
Sincerely, Baltic

Mook
When in Phuket the agogo music is plenty good enough as it suits the mood and the dancing of the girls... Combine that with a Singha and away you go... However most of the places ahve a run of cheap Chang beer to get the guys in which is also very drinkable and will have the same overall effect...

Not necessarily in Phuket...my answers are
Music: House Music
Drink: Rum and coke
Please don't limit yourself here, just trying to see the tastes of brothers on the board. If you like jazz, 80's rock or r & B, let us know. There is no correct answer, let's just get some dialog going. Talking about what you like can lead to conversations about where to find it (for example: where is the best live band on Phuket), either in BKK, Chiang Mai or Phuket...
I'm not trying to slam anyone here, but this question was asked on another forum and more than 50 answers were submitted. If we can create a flow on info. starting with an open-ended question like this, I feel we can all benefit. So, if anyone else has an ice-breaker, let it fly. We all have a lot to share, and I'd like to hear more from other members.

Music al kinds of music rap rnb hiphop house techno trance rock metal thai. Only one song I start to hate and that`s Simply the best by Tina Turner. I think because the put the video on every time in soi eric and it`s mostly when I`m looking to sports.
Drink depends of my mood mostly singha carlsberg chang beer and later in the evening mekhong-lipo.

I like beer, whiskey and rum - Preferably taken at separate times though been known to combine - Can't drink wine as it makes me pissed very quickly (Possibly because I drink it like beer).
Music wise I like Bob Marley, Linkin Park, Soundgarden, Creed - Listening to the radio and when really in a bad mood at work 60's music don't ask me why but it seems to cheer me up...

any music that doesn't give me a head ache after being on the drink all night. my drink is singha or vodka and redbull.try not to drink vodka and lipo in bars that sell it. tastes like bubblegum and to sickly. lucky nicke sells redbull.
I agree with beuk that Tina Turner song and video has had it's day put something abit more modern may be a sexy dance video of Britney,Christina, or any other young singer. Tina could be my grand mother now.(sorry to the older board members )
you can tell your in Thailand and Soi Eric when at about 10pm every night the song comes on.
as nicke said the new DJ is playing some better music so all it needs now is the video collection to have a end of year clear out then all your get is a lot of young bargirls shaking there stuff in Soi Eric.

Favourite music: techno and pop (my favourite band is the pet shop boys). But I also like various kinds of music like AC/DC, bon jovi, U2, Linkin park, Red hot chili peppers, ... that's why I like Gonzo bar as it used to play those bands. I also love thai songs.
Favourite drinks: belgian beers, of course ! But in Thailand, as it's almost impossible to find, I drink Heineken and also enjoy various brands of whiskies mixed with coke or gin & tonic.
Regards,
Bobby

Hi
During daytime I usually drink a lot of healthy things at the beach like coconut's, watermelon drinks and pine apple drinks. Anybody else of you who's crazy about this drinks? You should really try next time.
In the evenings it's more like Singha or Carlsberg and if I'm really in the mood sometimes a whisky coke.
I like all kinds of music to have fun.

I love cocktails that use Cointreau as a mixer -- Cointreau mixed drinks will do a lot more for your base liquor than an inferior triple-sec mixer. My fave is a cocktail called a "sidecar"
3/4 oz. lemon juice (fresh from the lemon, please)
3/4 oz. Cointreau (triple sec)
1 1/2 oz. brandy or cognac or armangac
combine all ingredients...shake over ice cubes in a cocktail shaker, strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
There's nothing like a well tended bar.

Well..
it used to be Carlsberg or anything Nicke put in front of me but Mike and a few others got me on to Bacardi Breezers ( which I always considered a girls drink ) and found that they were quite easy to drink without getting that "bloated " feeling ! Oh and they never gave me a hangover even thou I was pissed the night before ! Suits me

more bad news....
There is no more Carlsberg in Thailand! Apparently Carlsberg has pulled the plug on its production in Thailand. A lot of the bars have already run out, and there is no more on the market. A few bars have a few bottles left, and these bars are getting my custom. Now standard response to "Hello, hansom man", is "You have Carlsberg beeer?".
