Hi all you guys
Have been looking at your forum with interest as me and my Thai wife are current bar owners in Patong
Good to see you enjoying yourselves so much, I'll be back in Patong for 3 weeks on 6 Feb. Currently staying in UK but will be resident in Patong from Nov-04 onwards
ps Kind word of warning, please be careful what you say and show on this forum some of my thai friends are looking with interest - don't want you guys burning your bridges etc..
all the best Geespot

Hi Geespot,
Where abouts is your bar? I was in Phuket for the first time 2 weeks ago (with my HK Chinese girlfriend), so was not allowed to stray.... I already planning another trip over, I have heard from many of my HK friends A MAN CAN LOOSE HIS SOUL IN THAILAND! That warning aside I am looking forward to my return hopefully with some mates and without my girlfriend. I am probably on my way to loosing my soul already!!! Will probably stay at the Marriott again as its a cool place with loads of other things too do when I get bored of all that sex!

Okay Breitling
First thing to say: Dont stay at Marriott, waste of time, too far away from Patong, look at the threads on this board about where to stay
My bar is in Tiger Entertainment Complex, on the ground floor, called Love Bar, it's just off Bangla Road, below Tiger Disco, ask anyone they will tell you were to go
You should also try Mai Thai bar in Soi Eric, most of the regular guys on this board make this their second home when in Patong
Nicke - think about this one, your board and bar are success, open hotel for all board members, captured audience, just get feeback for type of rooms and services, make a new thread, the mind boggles on the response to this one
Nicke think about this idea?????? any you guys what you think

Is the hotel guest friendly
I think it is a great idea Geespot as long as the rates are competitive.
If done right it could have its own little entertainment district - Disco, Agogo, KTV and Room Service Massage

Guesthouse/hotel
Here you go...
This Guesthouse and Restaurant has a good Bangla Road location in the heart of Patong Beach in Phuket. With 700 square metres of floor space, the enterprise has a reception on the ground floor, a European style restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms above. (BKK1939)
Total Investment To Own: 1.5 million baht.

I wrote a reply and then my internet connection died. I try to write it again.
Lol, funny idea Geespot. Normal guesthouses isn't easy due to high rental fee's and a few rooms isnt enough to make revenue in high season to cover low season.
Instead, in my dream I would like to lease a land close to SaiNamYen traffic lights, on the road to patong municipality/firestation and construct a building with 20 apartments. On the ground floor have a lounge/big screen tv/restaurant/bar (The board members living room) with hostesses taking care of us 24 hr/day. The rates should be 300-500 baht/night all year round.
Still just 5-10 minutes walk to Bangla road.
This require a higher investment but is a long term business and you can keep the rates low and is a lot cheaper than renting existing guesthouses.
Any investors out there :o

Terrific idea Nicke. I think the members would definitely call that place "home!"
