My story goes that before all the terrorism in the air if you were born in Britain or Ireland you could travel between the 2 countries with only photo id..
My grandmother died in England so i booked flight with Ryanair Dub-manchester..I had national Garda(police) proof of age card which thier website said was ok.. So i travel to Dublin and get to the checkin desk and they say they have changed the policy in the past few weeks and now only a passport will do which i did'nt have.. There was no way they would budge even though thier website said it was ok.. I ended up paying again to aer lingus and got on no problem...

Well, sorry for coming in this thread so late but thought I'd just share my related experience. About 15 months, I got involved with this amazingly beautiful girl who at that time was still a uni student doing her final year internship thingy at the company I was working/writing for (Nation affiliate) in Bangkok. Anyway, new years party to number exchanges, to long secret phonecalls, to pub invitations, sneaking around on movie/dinner dates...the kind of thing that can easily just happen to guys in my situation...So anyway, the next several months was some of the best and most frequent 'fun' I had in my roughly 5 years of 'fun' active life. I found my self sneaking/running around all of Bangkok to have 'fun' with this gik or even mia noy perhaps (without all the financial obligations...hell she even covered the motel costs on several occasions)
I discovered and explored the inner animal, liar and cheat within(that all humans have if they choose/tempted enough to dig) and I even got (had) a few good movies from it as insurance to keep the new one in check if it turned out that she had become a nymph our several dozen affairs... Anyway, nothing lasts forever, and an exciting situation soon had to come to an end as we both realised reality was coming sooner or later. My family was on its way and I had to withdraw and take control of myself and situation like the next man...that number two was finishing up Uni, reconciling things with her uni boyfriend (who aparently got dibs after me even though he had years more than me invested, go figure !) ...etc. etc and we grew apart this past year, though kept in touch as friends throughout. (PS number one did find out almost every detail but everyone lived) So anyway, how this relates to the thread: That girl, the old number 2, the girl I likely turned on if not exploited her on to 'fun' became an airhostess for Thai airs younger sister/brother recently. She's definately material for such a position with her grace and elegance turning heads wherever I went with her...and I just feel guilty about everything if not pissed off at myself knowing that in her path to becoming an air hostess and her path in being an air hostess all the opportunities she'll be in to have 'fun' with pilots, stewards, and all the vast peoples she'll meet in such a job. I guess I should be proud that I got it before the rest of the world, but can't really see it like that...and if I could take it all back and let another guy have all the guilt and pain for turning such a beautiful worthy girl into a nymph, then I probably would... Anyway, since then, air hostesses have lost their innocence and major appeal to me knowing that each and everyone probably has their own similar story but perhaps my mind was just corrupted in all that forbidden 'fun' Anyone else with any similar stories, don't hesitate to share ! Why? If it hadn't been you it would have been someone else  Think yourself the lucky one...you got to help her complete her "education"!I even got (had) a few good movies from it as insurance to keep the new one in check Yikes! On dodgy ground there if by insurance you meant you planned to use them as blackmail if things went pearshaped.

well, the initial intent wasn't only for blackmale, guess i knew inside that it wouldn't last and I knew I had a winner that would be good to punish the monkey on lonely days, and it did me good for a year...but one night in a drunken crazy rage, before she got her job, I told her I wanted a full blood/health test and bluffed that if she didn't deliver it by my deadline, I was gonna sell the compiled CD. Complete bluff though. Think she got pretty scared and later told me when we were on friendly terms that she even considered hiring a hitman! Good thing I was only bluffing...anyway ended up destroying all evidence in the slight chance that they leaked and it came back haunting me and my family in the future, like if her boyfriend saw it or something....but it was good for a few thousand strokes, when the wife was out. ha ha ha

That's exactly what I was hinting at. Friend of mine involved in a "love triangle" got threatened with one and you know it takes as little as 5000baht here. P.S. Think NOK Air has the best looking hosties and they have a nice touch of lining them up and introducing them individually once airborne and the seatbelt sign goes off.
