Air Stewardesses
I didn't realise that being a Flight Attendent / Air Sterwardess is such as lusted-after job by many Thai girls.
I have a good mate who's an accountant (works for 1 of the big 4) in BKK and she's desperate to quit it and become an air hostess. I think she's a bit crazy, but she also says that it would take her 5 years auditing for this firm before she earned Air Hostess wages. Can anyone believe this?! Also, literally thousands of girls apply whenever an airline recruits. Anyone else any experience of this???

It must seem impossibly glamorous to them, and of course even Thai proffessionals are not that well travelled are they? So stopovers all over the world for free would be worth an awful lot, and an awful lot of 'face' too I would have thought.
I knew a girl who worked for Virgin, and my pal's wife is currently with Emirates. The perks are pretty good, particularly with Emirates, and it looks great on their CV. Also a good chance of bagging a pilot for a husband.

once talking to a stewardess on thai airways she told me that her salary was 10k montly its nothing compared with what they get in europe or us.

she seamed to be proud of it, don't know why tho.
one thing I don't get. they pay the stuff so little.the fuel is so cheap, but the ticket costs as much as in europe,us or oz.why?

agree with you stevem,only thing is that thay pay in us$ when they are in other countries,whih means half of the flying routes,wich leaves half of their expences in thailand
. then I read other thread where some uk,us,or europ companies have better deals.they pay for their expences in us$ either inbound or outbound. still don't get it though
