Go back and play safe?

Hello to all looking in,

The last time (only time actually) i was in Thailand was last January for a month excellent.

Its been a long year wait, however I'm now in the position to go again have booked my flight for Feb 7th and will do three weeks.

My situation is I 've been to Phuket and Koh Samui, loved both for there own reasons.....really got on well with a girl in Samui actually kept in contact on the phone which I thought was sweet.

I would love to see her again just to see the person i sort of fell for. But to go back to Samui where I've walked the walk already seems to me a step back and i should go the Pataya or even do Bangkok itself.

What adds to it is I'm on my own this time my friends have neither the money or the time on this occasion.

Basically should i just go to samui and play it safe?

or be bold and go somewhere else what would you do.....

Why not something old and new..

Patts for 7 days.. Then Island life to recover from the burnout.. Very different places..

I always cringe when I see people who have massive itinerary's that have them spending 3 days in each place.. But with 3 weeks you have time to use on 2.. Also you can enjoy Patts and if your really love it then stick with it, for me Patts gave me burn out, fun for a blast but not for too long (personally).

I agree with you I would not run around and try too many places,

I like a holiday not a safari of locations!

Yes Pataya would be the option given where it is and then back to Bangkok and off to Samui.

My main concern would I be ok in Pataya since I've never been just a bit worried new place don't know anyone sort of thing.

Can fly from Patts to Samui..

Just hit town running.. No need to worry (join some of the active patts boards and find some cruising mates).. Thailand handles the single male traveller quite well

WELL DONE jonny from pattaya virgin to pattaya expert in 2 visits 5555555

you must do some mongering while you are there 55555 seriously though i have been there 25 times and every time i go i find another new bar /place i have never been before thats the magic of the place

this time last year i was becoming jaded with the place but my last 2 visits have renewed my enthusism for the place i love getting my taxi sent to me from the penthouse hotel with thecool box full of beer but minus the hostesses 5555555
and then living in the heart of the action its great just walking out my hotel door and being within 2 minutes of 7 different go go bars

as sefton says you can fly from pattaya (utapao) to both phuket and samui the phuket flight is daily at 1240pm the samui one is around 13.30pm
