Well I have been giving a lot of thought to a recent request from one of our younger BM’s, a request that I propose him for the vacancy of Moderator. The very valid points he put forward for why we should vote for his succession to SteveM.

The two current moderators both live in the UK so we need someone who preferably lives in another time zone, so he can be on line when the other two are unable to due to work or sleep, so he is ideally placed living in Thailand.

He points out it needs someone who is committed to the forum and all its values, he makes the very valid point that he has been a member of the forum all of his life, a statement that very few if any other BM can make.

I also agree with him it needs someone pure of heart and thought, someone that can at all times uphold the rules and etiquette of the board, in this respect I believe he is the only person to fill the vacant shoes left by our much respected member, ex- moderator Steve.

However I did have one small worry about him becoming the new moderator and that was I am not 100% sure his keyboard skills are up to scratch, I know with the aid of spellchecker he can automatically correct any mis-spellings or grammatical mistakes, but I have seen him at the keyboard and he is rather wanting when it comes to speed typing.

He has in my opinion come up with an ingenious answer to this problem and one that has won me over, to the point where I would like to propose to you; my fellow much respected board members, that you should consider Alec (AKA mini-dodge) as mine and more importantly your new trainee moderator.

The solution he proposes to his rather limited keyboard skills is to use a picture system:

Picture Two – LOL

Laughing on Line, you do not seriously think you can get that post passed the super mod, sorry pal you’ve just been moderated and that post is outta here.

Picture Three - Foot in Mouth

You have just put your foot truly and squarely in your trap door and that post has just been gobbled up.

Picture Four – Brussels sprout, clear off out!!

Too many fouls on your behalf, you’ve just been super moderated, take a seat on the bench pal, YOUR BANNED!!!

So on behalf of our youngest member, Alec, I would like your opinions and votes of confidence to aid him with the election to this highly esteemed position.

Political Statement – this post has been timed as it is well known the main rival to Mini-dodge is a Mr F Towers who is currently flying to LOS in a pathetic attempt to gather local expat votes.

Very cute Dodge - bright tho Alec is - (and there are other babies on the board) - however, alas I'm not sure he has the pre-requisite keyboard skills as yet!!

FT gets my vote because I know he will never get upset when I take the pi$$ out his trip reports

That's a really cute boy you have there Dodger. His mom must be beautiful. Although I do see the resemblance to you in pic three. He has my vote. All kidding aside, he really is a nice looking boy.

Nice pictures of your cute child.My wote go for Alec.His keyboard skills will soon improve im sure.And im sure that he will be the only moderator who can put his foot in his mouth

he gets my vote, also, he can come here and be PM if his mod duties aren't too taxing. (he cant possibly be worse than the one we got right now)

Dodger, I think he would be the perfect mod for several reasons:-

1. He already has a sponsor that lets him live in paradise.

2. Surely has a fetish for busty Thai women!

3. By the time his keyboard skills are up to scratch, he will be able to traslate the bad Thai used on the board!

4. He is already as understandable as Tin Tin

5. He uses less words than IJ to get his message across.

6. He has already done a Dawsey/ Alfie ( at least he had nappies!)

7. He has probably met more BMs than Nicke!

8. He has a built in Thai girlfriend in Nathalie

9. All the BGs think he is a "hansum man"

And he can, literally, put his foot in his mouth!!!!

Good idea mate, your son seems to be the man for this job.

Just a few questions though-:
1. Is he tall enough to reach the delete function?

2. Can he disable the "pst a thread function" for some "pin in the ****" users?

3. Will IJ have follow his decisions?

4. Picture 3 is very impressive. I Hope he doesn't barks or bites

5. Picture 2, more practice and you will be able to threw your shoes into a lady's face

And finally, would he be kind enough to explain IJ how to diseable the CAPS key.

but i am against this little man Alec becoming a mod.
as he cant hold his liquor [yet] , i think it would be a bad decision !

on the other hand, you can get into a silly, and endless discussion with him about boobies!!
