Guest Friendly Hotels
Hi there
I normally stay on Ratu-thit Rd, close to the top end of Soi Bangla.
I have found C & N Hotel to be quite adequate for my last two visits.
Before then I stayed almost next door to C & N at PS Hotel. These are both clean and comfortable and definitely 'guest friendly'. (No charge)
I have also stayed in 2002 at The Sands, which is/was just a bit further along Ratu-thit (in the direction of where the 7/11 minimart was).
This Hotel is/was 'guest friendly' also but the bloody place did not have a lift!
I stayed on Level 3 (two floors up) and the stairs were a bit hard on the old legs, given that the stair gradient seemed steeper than it should have been.
A man had to take a bit of a breather after reaching the room, before embarking on any further activity.
Cheers

i always stay in the lamai Inn on the main road.
very guest friendly, use to charge 200 baht but last time it was free for the guests.
nice clean rooms, fridge, tele, clean towels and bedding every day.sorry no pool but beach is only 10 minutes away.
last time i paid 800 baht in november, about the same as C & N if your a regular but not as close to bangla road about 10 minute walk, nice walk before going into the islander restaurant on a soi off bangla road.
The good thing about last time is they have built a new 7 - 11 next day so a quick stop off before going back to the room.

I always stay at the First Resort Albergo. They don`t charge joiner fees. It is more a familyhotel. It has a swiming pool. It is owned by an italian guy and his thai wife. It`s a bit far from the beach but if you don`t mind walking the whole way you can always rent a small motorbike or walk a little bit further and take the motorbiketaxi. There`s an 7-11 nearby and in the night there`s a small market where you can eat.

guest friendly hotel
Hello.
I stayed at Patong Pearl Resort Hotel, just on the corner of Rat u Thit Road and the road that leads down to the beach past Soi Seadragon (sorry, can't remember its name). Opposite the school. Just five minutes walk from the action and totally guest friendly, except they warn you that lady guests don't get a free breakfast! I never got up early enough for breakfast anyway. Nice hotel as well, very quiet, quite big rooms, with a pool out the back. The car hire place right next door to it does really good deals - they had a funky little four wheel drive soft top for 1100 a day. Thoroughly recommended.

I am frequently visiting Phuket for some years already. Last years in BaanTonSai, at the end of Nanai Road (direction Kata). It is very nice, clean, quiet, relatively cheap, has a swimming pool (small) and no joiner charge. My favorite.
Have fun!

P S & C & N HOTELS
Hi Driv
The two Hotels (C & N & P S) are virtually next door to one another and diagonally across Rat-u-thit Road, almost opposite the junction with Bangla Rd. (Main Road for Nightlife) Heading towards the Beach.
They both have a web-site each:
http://WWW.Pshotel.com - is one of them.
For the other, just type:
C & N Hotel, Phuket - Into your seach engine browser, and the site should come up as an option.
Cheers

Cheers PDM3
I may have stayed at either or both at some time in the past on a short time basis.
Trouble is, later on (or the next morning) I stagger out, blinking into the sunshine and I can never remember....

friendly hotels
Marine Inn and Family Inn on 200 Pee Road (below Christines massage) no joiner fee.
Family Inn has security guard, insists on id card, Marine inn up to you whether they take id or not, night deskman very accomodating, will turn a blind eye if you take two girls in.

Victoria is easy to find! On Bangla Road, go towards the beach! When you reach the beach road (Thaweewong Rd), look to the left across the street. Enter the first galleria going throu the building leading to the sand! Ten meters before the beach you have Victoria on the left!
Good luck!

Hi D,
Yes, both are air con, satellite tv, spacious rooms (especially Family Inn)
decent sized bathrooms, clean and comfortable.
Family Inn has swimming pool and small basic restaurant.
Marine Inn has no pool but a larger, better restaurant.
I stayed at Family Inn last October (low season) i walked in and was given a
quote of 700 Baht a night but managed to negotiate a rate off 500 Baht for a 12 night stay.
Marine Inn i stayed in January (high season) for 1000 Baht per night, so low season probably get for 600.
Both decent places to stay, Marine nearer Bangla, about a ten minute stroll and gave me a "do as you feel feeling" and only 5 minutes from south end of beach (Mc'donalds area etc)
Family Inn, very friendly staff and has pool but bear in mind cost of Tuk Tuk/ motorbike after a night on the razz, if that is an issue.
John.
