Hi guys
I start my trip in the end of march, and one of the first things
I'm planning to do is the "PADI OPEN WATER DIVER" cours. Does anybody
have a tip on where to take it/prices?
Another question, I'm planning a few days on PhiPhi to. I need a Hotel/ ON the beach, where I can start snoorkling right of the beach.

Is it ok to ask a Bar girl to join me on my trip to PhiPhi (Don't want to be lonly :p) It's just for 3-4days ?

I'm Arriving on 27/3, two days in Bangkok then off to Patong :p :p

phi phi is tiny,where ever u are u gonna be within a minute or so of the beach.you can do diving courses there as well,and there some good dives off phiphi.i dont dive but went with 2 feriends who do and they did a few there and said it was real good.it is best to take a girl with you to phi phi as i found it mainly backpapckers and couples there.just ask any bar girl you like,and long as u pay her barfine and her she wont mind.most like to get away from the bar.

There are plenty of dive schools in Phuket, most will pick you up from your hotel and take you back - but standards and prices do vary. If more expensive it probably means your dive instructor will have a work permit, and be more competent, rather than a drifter who roams from country to country and picks up work from a dive shop for beer money/rent.

You can try my friends Dive shop called "Siam Adventure Tours"
60/4 Rat-u-thit rd, Patong Beach,ph:-076 341 799,
A young woman there by the name of Toy will look after you,
When you get there ask for Bernie or Sminsey,
Bernie used to work in Phi Phi for a couple of years and knows his stuff as does Sminsey,
Siam Adventure can organise the trip and accomodation over to Phi Phi and of course the PADI course you wish to take,
Or you can go down Soi Sansabai to Phuket Sea World,
The managers name is Lars and he has a good mate of mine working there named Lolo who also has a great deal of dive expierence,
Feel more than free to take with you whom ever you want to Phi Phi as one person said there is little in the way of "Spare ladies"over there to be had,

I would like to try diving on my next trip - Is it true that if you are an asthmatic you are not allowed to dive or is this an old wives tale...

Best seek medical advice from your own g.p.
when you join a local dive club in your home country you have to fill out a medical form to state your health ,i can not remember for sure about asthmatics though ,but for what its worth thats what i would recomend .
