Which part of Thailand in August or September?

Had plans to go to Phuket in May or in June but some economic problems got in the way. Instead I will go in August or September. I have heard that the weather in Phuket are not so good that time of year.

Should I go to the north parts of Thailand instead, to be sure that the weather is ok? Or is the weather really that important when there are BG:s and LB:s?

Thumbs up Swap you! One night in Baghdad - 2 weeks LOS!

Salam All,

I'll be there 10th-ish September, flying in from Baghdad via KL. Do they do umbrellas at the Patong Villa? Can you use the pool in the rain? What time is the Coronation Street Omnibus edition shown on Thai TV and can I get decent sausage, egg and chips anywhere? Yeah right!

Anyway, after this dump:
1. Rain is good.
2. Beer is good.
3. Sleep is good.
4. Decent food is good.
5. Sea is good. (less Nobbies of course!) Not good
6. Sand (Have plenty of that thanks)
7. Prices are good.
8. Erm, struggling here.......What else is there to do in Phuket in September..........Anyone want to help me out here?

Also looking to re-locate fulltime, sometime velly soon hansum man. Not sure who reads these posts so not saying too much. Have contacted three agents so far, so will be tootling around the island looking at various properties for some of my time, at least if it's raining you can see if the roof leaks!

Hopefully meet some of you BM's, at MTH and you can put me right LT?

Anyway, back to my Baghdad Pizza, anyone want a slice?

Lar Korn, Denver
PS Not raining here!!

1) Umbrellas for the rain or by the pool??
2) You have to be careful, you might get wet.
3) What is that?? Some sort of pommy soap???
4) Yep, you sure can

Cheers Steve

All a bit tongue in cheek Steve,

Needless to say I'm not coming all that way to LOS for Coronation Street, Egg and chips, I can head West if I want all that crap.

Rain I can handle, in fact, I'm quite looking forward to some after a year here.

Can't beat the sound of rain on a wriggly tin roof with a cold beer in one hand and a warm woman in the other. How much are smokes now in LOS or should I bring with. $3 for 200 here at the mo.

I'll try and get a picture of me in the pool complete with my umbrella, even if it's just to send back to the blokes here in Baghdad, you know.........to cheer them up and all that!!!

Take care Steve,

Denver
