I dropped this on another tread yesterday.

The first and best piece of advice I got here was "Come, have fun, don't fall in love." Realizing the impossibility of that advice, i reworked it to "Fall in love, just change ladies everyday."

Aside from that, I'd advise just getting here ASAP. Many life-changing wonders here. Something for everyone.

I was in your position a year ago awaiting my first trip to LOS. Luckily for me I read this forum to pieces for 2 months before I came so I knew what to expect in just about every sense. However, my advice will be to take your time and look around finding your girls. Enjoy different girls and dont fall in love with any of them!!

remember that you are a tourist and everything is designed to make you happy and think you are gods gift but the whole point of the girls that work in the bar scene is to get as much out of you as they can, and they will unless you use your brain, don't believe everything you here, just take everyday as it comes, but most of all enjoy..........

I think dancing lessons before arrival are essential.

Far too many over 40's trying to strut thier funky stuff in the Discoteque-Sexaleques IMHO. Thumbs through belt loops ALA Rick Parfitt from Status Quo dosen't quite cut it as far as I am concerned.

Take a leaf out of my book and be fluid, artistic and groovy with your footwork on that dancefloor guys. The girls will love you more for it.
