Your worst Airline is??

Leading on from another thread, I thought an opinion on the worst (and best) airlines would bring plenty of comment. :p
My worst is without doubt Air France(sorry any French members )
I knew it was going to be bad when I got to Heathrow T2 and with an hour to go ,the check-in desk had a queue 100metres long and no staff. No time for duty free, the plane left very late.Arrived at CDG Paris for a truly depressing airport.Just made the connecting flight to Abu Dhabi (100miles from Dubai UAE) A scheduled stop at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and we waited for ages on the tarmac for take off again. An engine fault meant a delay of 3hrs and we cooked with doors open in 46C.No drinks or apologies.Food was crap and the English speaking person certainly got poor cabin staff attention. Arrived in Abu Dhabi 3hrs late and waited for baggage.Only one suitcase of two arrived.Wife and children had nothing but the clothes they arrived with.
Promised case next day....nothing.Rang Air France at airport...Oh next flight tomorrow!Suitcase arrived ripped open and clothes missing.Checked insurance not worth the paper it was printed on.All in all Air France sucks and I know of two other people with similar problems.
And the best Qatar Airways.....brilliant.
I will find out about Singapore Airlines very soon

The worst airline i have ever had is the aeroflot. I took a flight from munich to moscow and then to bangkok. The aeroplane to moscow (a tupolew) had so small place it thought i couldn`t stand it. Arrived in moscow there were in the hole terminal only one screen working! The gate i had to go was another then they said me on information. Going there what the information give me, it was not correct, too. Tried the third..... Lucky, it was the right one.
Flying to bangkok we had an A300. I thought: "nice aeroplane". Wanted to hear some music. No sound. Waited to look some movies. No movies. Everything not working. Sitting in the front row, the stewardess could not pass me without give me a knock with the tablet or something same this. She did neve excuse. Instead of this she spoke russian with me. I know my english is not very well, but when i say "I am not russian, please speak english to me" i think she understood well. Five minutes later she said something to me..... in russian of course.. and everytime very harshly.
And so on and on.....

So this was the worst airline i `ve ever used. I would never ever fly with aeroflot again. (the aeroplanes looked like they would have used them to fly against germany in the II WW.)

The absolut best i had was "Emirates". Perfect service. Very friendly stewards. Good food. Nice seats with possibilty to play videogames.

Depends..

I hate flying anyway so they all suck...

But seriously BA is by far the worst airline I have ever travelled on - I fly Qantas a lot for safety reason (As stated scared of flying and they have good track record) but the stewardesses all ahev hairy legs and are old enough to be Aunties. Plus last Qantas flight I got was from Sydney to Singapore and nearly all the attendants were men...

Richie, this April will be my first visit to LOS so I haven't had any "activities" yet.I always go on family holidays around Easter time because of school holidays but usually manage a solo break around October. So this trip I shall be keeping my eyes and ears open and if I like what I see I'll hopefully get back to Patong later this year on my own

Hope you have very high factor sunblock for April visiting. Ive never known heat like it and it can get very uncomfortable at night so get make sure you have good aircon (esp if you have kids). AND...try and avoid the songkran water throwing as it can get very annoying at times. Other than that have fun!

Worst airline I ever flew with was Filipina airlines. I came with x-mas and was going back on 30the december. My girl would also come with me. So I had arranged everything that we could go celebrate new year with my friends. Paid 6000 bath for two people to eat in the restaurant. So number 30 we headed to the airport. checked in and of we went. We were in the air for about 30 minutes when the captain finally said something and it was like this sorry people but we have some electrical problems we are going back to have them repaired. Another 30 minutes later the captain again due to the electrical problems we cannot dump our fuel so we are going to fly around bagkok until we have burnt enough fuel to make a safe landing. Many hours later I was already going ill because it was round and round we go and gas fully open and shut and open up down up down and so on just the get rid of as much gas as possible. We finally landed and it was like in the movies firetrucks ambulances everything flashed behind us. So we stopped and it took about 30 minutes before we were updated on the situation. We could taxi to the terminal. 15 minutes later still om the same place palne couldn`t taxi cause the breaks were broke and the tyres flat. They came to take us with busses. Got an hotel and diner for one night and the next day we could leave with an another plane. Spend new years eve at the bangkok airport. Lost 6000 bath from the diner in my hometown (owner just took the money and didn`t care we were there or not). Finally arrived on the 1st january in Frankfurt instead of Charles DeGaulle. Had to buy a ticket more from Frankfurt to Belgium (I planned to take the train in Paris instead of an extra plane ticket to Belgium) Lost money again. Arrived in Brussels and the make it more worse then I`ve already could imagine no suitcases. For me no prob cause I have enough clothes in my room. Prob for my thai girl who only had the clothes she wore and taht in the middle of the winter in a cold and rainy european country. Lost money again had to buy some clothes for her. Luckely 4 days later whe had our suitcases back.

Best airplane for me is at the moment China airlines. Best flight however was with Filipina airlines replacing flight for us we had an upgrade to first class that way they wanted to say sorry for al the inconvience we had.

Worst Air Trip

Another vote for AeroFlot (air flop) and right after that is Air France. Working reguired us use U.S. carriers but in a pinch the door was open. Not so good as United moved me to Air France and if you didn't speak French your service level was lower. I was given a bump from Bus to First and was well overlooked and served poorly. Any other opinions?

Bangladesh Biman. Unbelievable.

Pakistan I.A. - after a month in India with scarcely a rumble from my stomach, their chicken curry gave me a severe dose of diarrhoea that mercifully didn't start till after a couple of days after I'd got home.

Flying back in a pressurised Super King Air from Site Meeting mid afternoon summer across the Khalahari, Botswana - Felt like I was in the second episode(Flak Attack) of "Band of Brothers" the amount of turbulance...

Also same type plane and country but from an Okavango Delta project and a 2000 foot drop at the desert air hitting the moist swamp air - Luckily I was sitting over the assigned toilet seat...

The worst airline is for sure Biman Bangladesh. The aircrafts are old and do not look safe. The stuff is unfriendly, the food is bad and the smell inside is horrible. When we had a stopover in Dhaka, they took all passports and brought us to a so called "hotel" downtown Dhaka. We got a room for 2 persons, which was awfully dirty. There was only one small towel for the 2 of us. They kept us there for 2 days and when i saw no end me and 2 british guys went to their office by a rihksha. We had to stay there for hours but didnīt leave before we got the tickets in our hands.
Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strangely enough that happened to me & my mate, the only time we ever used them, 1 night only thankfully. Only bar we could find in Dhaka was in the basement of the hotel itself, not sure how legal it was as it was very, very dark in there. We had a couple of cans of Tiger then suddenly my mate goes 'oh shit did you see that?', he pointed to the old bloke who was drying glasses, 'he just blew his nose in the tea-towel.' At which point we decided to have an early night.
