April 6th To 26th

Hi again . . .

Just confirmed and paid for my tickets today.

Arriving Bangkok April 6th and still deciding whether to spend a couple of days in Sukhumvit, as I did last year, or head to Pattaya for a few days before heading down to Phuket.

Hope the 'Bird Flu' is under control . . .

Cheers

Hotel ???

Hi Mrarcus

Last year I caught a bus from Bangkok Airport into Sukhumvit, and got off just along from Nana Plaza. The bus number was A3, I think.

I walked along a bit and, quite by chance, turned up at Soi 7. I ended up staying at a Hotel called 'World Inn', diagonally across the way from the Eden Club.

Nothing special as Hotels go, but clean and only 500Bt per night. One thing I must have before I will stay anywhere, is either an in-room safe or at least safety deposit boxes at Reception.

This one had the latter. Probably 5 - 10 minutes walk to Nana Plaza too.

Cheers

Kiwis

Hey Jaws . . .

For a moment there I thought you might have included the old Aussie description of a Kiwi . . .

"Full of shit, and can't fly"

Cheers

Thank you for the info....
So 'World Inn', And about customer fee? You have to pay for a girl?
I was thinking in Ambassador Hotel too...
You know?

"Nana Plaza" is the best place in BKK for nightlife?
Or "Soi Cowboy" or "Soi 33 on Sukhumvit Road" are better???

Thanks
Mrarcus

Hi M,

at www.bkktonigh.com you can see the guest friendly hotel. Most of them are actaully when you stay near Sukhumvit, I stayed in Nana Hotel (soi Nana THB app 1070), Crown Hotel (Sukhumvit both 6&8 THB750), Golden Palace Hotel (suk soi 1 THB app 600) Happy Inn (soi Nana, THB 500)

Soi 33 is only one skytrain station further than Nana skytrain, so you can visit them both when you stay near Nana. Check also the map on bkktonight.com

Good luck
