It's obvious why they're happy. The Englsihman they quoted figured it out.

I spent some time in Denmark, and its by far the nicest Scandi-country IMO.
Freedom, i think is one of the reasons. You are not told how to drive, how to do this and that. Not told when or where to drink. The possibility for a normal working man to go to a restaurant or a bar without spending half a months salary.. They also have a very good infrastructure, roads and railways are in perfect condition. And its nice and clean everywhere. + Good quality food, Carlsberg, Tuborg etc.

 But yeah, we do have a great country and its vastly unappreciated by the population.....

I don't agree with the title. I have had a few business meetings with Danish people in the last month (also this morning), and they are mostly not happy when I tell them something.
Oh, and vice versa, sometimes I am not happy when they tell me something.
