shoo!! I`m going to kuwait city next week for work, 4 months with good pay, gonna stay bout 8 months in thailand after that, now, anyone been to Kuwait City?? Is it a lot like saudi?? been there... haircut, supermarket, restaurant prices, alcohol and such things, everyday things, what, how and when if anyone pliz got any info bout KC; pliz let me know.... thanks.

You are right, it's pretty much like Saudi, I haven't been living there but the 4 years I was in Dahran we had many flights to Kuwait, it's a dry country.

Um hot, humid......... Lots of attractive Filipino maids, after you sleep with them they will want to move into your company supplied apartment
. No alcohol unless you can find the right peoples. If you need a drink bad enough go to Dubai.
The Kuwaiti coast is very nice.
Nightlife includes a dry Hard Rock Cafe...

Kuwait is very expensive. One Dinar over there is equal to like 3.75 US, and everything is crazy expensive. I spent 2 days in Kuwait City and hated every minute of it. Plus, like they said, its a dry country unless you got a hook up. I was given the choice to either work a contract in Iraq or Kuwait. I chose Iraq hands down. Didnt even have to think about it, and thats why I'm out here now. I don't regret it at all. Its way easier to save money and all your food is provided by the military along with everything else you would need. Also, you make allot more in Iraq.
