Limo from airport to Patong...
Any companies that can be suggested?
Do they even exist?
Any rough prices?

I used this fantastic tool call "Search". Entered three words and got many links, including these three:
Taxi Transfer Prices
Airport Taxi Scam.
Private Airport Transport
Have a read ....

Funny, I did that too.
And just got a whole lot of stuff about mini vans, taxis, and private sedans.
I mean a good old fashioned stretch limo. Something that seats more then 3, anyways. I have done google searches and found no such companies.
Thought maybe someone here could help.
P.S. Do you guys ever get sick of getting your backs up about people not using 'search'? You almost fall over each other to be the first to come up with some slightly varied repetitive one liner...

A limo company.
It doesn't get much clearer.
After having a look around, I don't think they exist the way they do in Australia/UK/USA etc. So I thought I'd ask on here.
It's just an internet forum, don't take yourselves too seriously. Pretty genuine question, which from what I have read when I used the search tool hasn't been answered.

You are getting it all wrong. There are many of us that take great efforts to help, however, if the requester takes no initiative the number of requests would be so great that few would get the benefit of a sincere answer.
The links I posted earlier were identifies by searching for "Taxi Patong Airport". Try "Limo Patong Airport" or "Limo Phuket Airport". You can try the same on Google.
BTW: Limo is a relative term. For some it is a 10 meter Lincoln Town Car. When I take a limo to the airport in New York it is a large van. In Thailand a limo is most ofter a nicer car than a taxi.

when you walk through arrivals the will be a host of agents offering you the service of a taxi.
for stretch limos well i have never seen any ,but by the time i arrive at Thailand a stretch limo is the last thing on my mind.
from the airport to Patong is only a 45min drive (there abouts) so just hop into the first taxi and get yourself down to the seaside.
it is also advisable to contact your hotel if the is a large group of you as they might be able to offer you a slightly better mini bus deal.
either way dont worry as the is always some one there to take your money.
if all else fails you might see some little red vans that can help.

Hi first timer, I know what you mean and fair dinkum some of the BM's must get their rocks off when they shout from the rooftops "use the search engine" To answer your question, no I haven't seen any limo's as we know them and if you want to start your holiday with a bang then why not, but I'm sure you'll get enough while your there. To the BM's who get off on castigating the newbies take a good look at the search engine, it ain't that crash hot!

Sorry 1TT, but, I've never seen a stretch limo in Phuket. In Phuket a limo is a Toyota Corolla (I forget the Thai name - Altera?) with wood panelling on the doors! 550 Baht from the airport to Patong, but your hotel should pick you up for free.
Have a great time you lucky b@st@rd!

Thanks for the genuine replies... We already have transfers organised. I just thought it might be kind of fun to start the tip with an hour of sipping beers in a limo.
Regarding the holy forum expertes whose precious time I wasted, I guess my biggest crime was not specifying STRETCH limo... In AUS if you say limo, 99% of the time it would mean a stretch.
Even after I explained I had done google and forum searches, someone still posted a reply telling me to do a forum search and google search! LOL, talk about jumping on the band wagon...
Of those that puffed out their chest, I challenge you to find a thread that answers my question. I don't think it exists, mainly because it would appear the service doesn't exist, so therefor no one has talked about it.

Might have been better if they asked what your understanding of a Limo was or stated that the only "limo's" they have seen have been a Toyota Corolla or they had used the search engine, alternatively you could have described what you meant by a limo. I've found that what one country calls it is not necessarily what some others do, so I think its always best to decsribe accurately what you are looking for ,if you can't find it on the ilustrious serch engine( "read steam engine"). Not that I'm complaining as I relly enjoy this forum and the effort that many people put into it.

Be more specific. Its quit stupid to come with an attitude and at the same time ask questions... Dont think you will get so much help then...

Bear in mind some people are intellectually challenged and only understand words of one syllable. They only have the ability to type with one finger as well.

Well 1st Time Thai, you have your answer. There isn't a stretch limo service that anyone knows about.
If you had been more specific with your 1st post, you wouldn't have got the replies you had. Once again, what is common in one country, isn't in another, so there is confusion.
Asking BMs to use the search function is not unhelpful either. Going on the OPs number of posts would class him as a newbie, and therefore may not even have heard of the search button.
Aussie45. Your support of a fellow countryman is misguided. Replies like "Use the search function" are common in the forum, so no need to get in a twist about it. Had the OP posted this question in the newbies section, he would have been treated as such. For a newbie, the search function is still a useful tool.

1TT, I'm only a beginner on this forum (but an old hand in Patong), so don't be disheartened. There is a lot of valuable info here but not every question is answered. Have a great time and tell us about your experience. I'm jealous, because I've been been back in Sydney for 3 weeks and won't be back in Patong till late Sept. I'm sure I'm not the only jealous member here! At least my GF will be in Sydney within a month ...
Have a blast!
