Just popped into my usual dvd supplier and he was packaging the magnificent seven film, i said thats abit old, he said no it's a new film, how many times you watched i said about every christmas for last twenty years. Then he still wanted to show me it was a new release, then up pops yul and his bold head and i said most of them actors are dead now.

Is there a new version out?

But i did get the new spiderman 3 film, only in the cinemas 2nd may on the dvd shelf 12th may, thats good going and he said it's a really good copy.

Cinema sales in thailand must be really bad for new films.

When you see him next year he will have the very latest film - ''The Return of the Magnificent seven''.

Quite often a DVD is released of a classic thats late to the DVD market, or a re-release of a crappy letterboxed non anamorphic early version (I have a copy of the later 16:9 scarface in the box the first pressing scarface came in)..

So it is (possibly) a 'new release' DVD.. New to market, new to the copiers, new to the DVD seller.. Just an old movie..

Actually I used to pick up a fair few classics before but here you have only the first run pulp mainstream stuff, picked up Hell is for Heros and The Jackal (original) recently..
