Is it just me or.....

Hi,
Just 2 days back i came back from my 1st trip to Thai(Phuket). Before going there i thought i would be totally relaxed after coming back. But now after coming back i still can't get those memories out of my mind. Don't feel good back here, i feel like go back there as soon as possible. I'm sorry but i am not able to explain whats going on my mind completely, may be someone who has gone through it might understand it. So i thought there's nothing better to discuss it here. Has anyone been through the same thing or is it just me. Any suggestion how to deal with it as to be true, i don't know how to deal with it.

The most --- nearly all-- did have the same feelings.
Best is to lok forward to a new trip to LOS -- or book the next .......

i think most of the BM's here get the blues once they're back home. as IJ said the best thing against it is to book the next trip.

amazingly for me is all the other places i visited so far i was always happy to go back home the last day...but it's very different when i go to LOS. i always want to stay longer...

Indeed a typical example of the LOS Blues, which will only fade away after you booked your next trip as IJ mentioned.

And Ub2yoo is right as well..... Just bring that cute girl home. That might even be the best medicine to cure the Blues!!!

Yes, it's true. Most of us go through the LOS Blues after a trip there. Sometimes it not so bad, sometimes it is horrid, depending on which little cutie won our heart on that trip or whether we butterflied our way through it.

When you have a serious case of the LOS Blues, for the first month, it does not get much better, and sometimes worse. Usually in the second month you will start to see improvement, and by the end of 2 months back, you should be fully recovered to the extent that you will recover, as the only known complete cure is a return trip. In that sense, LOS Blues, even when the acute stage has passed, is known to often linger on as a chronic condition.

We here at the Phuket-Info Board are a support group for chronic sufferers. That is mostly why we are here!

Back 2 1/2 weeks

I have been back in Australia 2 1/2 weeks and I have the LOS blues as well. Did not fall for any girls as I had my wife with me and I still feel as most after returning.
My problem is I don't know when I will be able to return as my wife and I left the kids with my mother for this trip so we could party and drink heaps into the early hours of the morning. Every time I suggest going back my wife says about taking the kids this time. They are 8 and 12 years old girls so I don't think we could do the same things as we did on this trip.
Anyway it won't be for another year yet so I guess the blues will stay around for a while yet.

I've been back almost two months, it's seven weeks since I booked the next trip, still forty-two weeks until I leave. I'm spending way to much time reading this forum, sometimes feel like I'm not going to make it until April next year, starting to plan in detail the first few hours after arriving.(Short Recap Airport - Summer Breeze - Shower - Soi Kepsap - Mai Thai - Up2U - Summer Breeze - You get the drift). It has calmed down a bit, the first two weeks were horrible. Still, if I have it half as bad after next trip, third trip is going to come up a lot faster than the second one did. Loved going to LOS, but now, not beeing there sucks big time.

Jaybee hit the nail on the head.

Thank heavens for this board eh!

My LOS blues lasted around 2 - 3 months after returning in December 06' but just got back a couple of weeks ago and this time, apart from the odd twinge, nothing to write home about, as it were.

A few of the BM's have said before, in different threads, the more times you go the lessor the blues affect you.

Mind you I spent my entire, recent, trip with one lady from the moment I arrived in PHK to the moment I left. Probably why I'm not suffering now - suffered for over 3 weeks then..55555555555555555555555

Exactly what happened to me, described in minute detail. Took almost one month to the day to get over the worst of it. In that first month I couldn't sleep worth a damm, but I did manage to book my return trip. What a comforting feeling that was.

Same same!!

Oh manz... nvr knew this kinda feelin of regret... the tug in my heart... the freedom... the loss... sigh.... 5 days back in Singapore and am still hurting...

Am currently reading this forum way too much... and am planning a retrip back to Phuket in late August/early Sept. Spending a week there this time around. Last trip was only 4 nights... not enough!!

This is like an addiction... the sea breeze... the friendly people... minus the fleecing bustards... the cute little girls sleepin beside you....

I wan BACK!!!

I used to suffer the LOS blues, after my first few trips.

Now, I'm happy to get back home & recover.

Too many beers, black deaths, fishermans friends, dingo shots, tequila,bg's, massages, stifling heat, late nights, spicy food, not having a solid dump whilst away, takes a toll on my (not so fit) body.

Give it a coupla mths & I'll be recovered & will be back over to do it all again.
