Phuket - NZ Serviceman Awarded Victoria Cross Medal

For all those Military and ex Military types out there who may find this interesting.

A New Zealand Army SAS (Special Air Service) Corporal was today awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions 3 years ago in Afganistan.
The Victoria Cross (VC) is the highest Miltary medal awarded in the British or Commonweath forces and is awarded for "... the most conspicuous bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy."

As the Victoria Cross is given for valour he must be a very brave man indeed. Only the bravest of the brave receive this award. I hope the New Zealand people are proud of him.
