Most bars around Bangla charges 80 baht for beers, except for tiger where 90+ seems to be standard. Discos/clubs is charging 120-160 for beers.
Also new is more bars have happy hours, e.g. beer for 40-50 baht. Never saw such offers in the past. There is a bar on main Bangla that charge 50 baht for all beers, all night long. Popular among the cheap charlie crowd.
As you dont mention other things I cant give more price examples.

Bro seriously you need to be more specific , from your quote you asked for a link to a list of stuff , im not sure what you even mean ????
Are you asking for price of hotels, clothes, women , food ?
The answer to all depends on you ! Do you like nice hotel for examples, do you like stunning girls , do you like western food , i think u get what im saying..

Well, its hard to give a price list. The prices depends on where you go, ofcourse. Upmarket restaurants charge more than basic food stalls for the same food etc. If you go outside tourist places there will also be different prices.
Even McDonalds have different prices around the island.

OK. I guess I wasn't being specific because I thought there might be a general list. No worries.

Use the Search function. Just about everything you can think of has been discussed pricewise before.

does it really make a difference how much a beer is?
or a snack or a casual meal?
are those deal breakers?
if they are, you might want to re-think taking a holiday and just working overtime to earn more money

Sometimes the people on this board can be really great, other times you guys can sound like a bunch of stuck up B**ches!
The reason I was asking was more for my own budgeting and also to see what the difference in costs were from the last time I went to Thailand. It is not the F****NG money, I just want to know as much as I can before I go.

I would just add some annual inflation factor (5%) from the last time you were there. Your list might be outdated, and it certainly is not indicative of prices in Phuket... Patong anyway for the incidentals. I mean, look at the ranges in the list and the number of times "depending" is used.
The biggest costs are hotel, transport, and entertainment/shopping. Budget for those items. All the day to day expenses are really just noise. Put in another 300 - 500 baht per day for things like that (inc. food if you can eat like a local).

i actually didnt know you were from the best place on earth or i would have been more helpful 55555
in all seriousness, i think looking at hotels and such will allow you to see what type of budget you would need
i cant see how anything else would be a deal-breaker, IMHO

I think this is a perfect example of the normal attitudes of people from Beantown, aggressive, argumentative, cheap, defensive, quick to anger, etc.55555555.
Quick reversal there Marc26, is this your new more sensitive side coming through? Has that waiter/fireman called you since you returned to Vancouver?555555555
Go Yanks.
And Phuket 713, the minute you get to Thailand you can rip your budget up as who knows what you will spend per night. Lots of variables to contend with.
Just go with as much money as you can afford to bring and enjoy. The memories are worth more than the money that you spent.
Also, when are you going? prices are higher at certain times of year.

its not pointless...
actually... i believe his pricelist has merit... for those who've nvr been to phuket... the list can reflect the cost of living there... had i seen this list before i had gone to phuket, i wouldnt have paid 350B for a beer...
it also goes to shows how much "real value" we actually use for entertainment...
i thought 100B was cheap for a beer... turns out that you can gettit for abt 25B!!!
so KUDOS to Phuket713 for bringing up a pertinent question...

The prices that seem to inflate your budget the most are, ST, LT, joiners fee, especially the last one s*cked, (actually the other two did as well, but in a really enjoyable way)

I am leaving on Friday. I get to Phuket on Sunday and will be there until the 24th, when I go to visit a High School friend in BKK. My brother currently lives in Phuket, so I think I am in good hands.
