Glory of Hash Bashing thread (UK Trip Report)
Since our formerly esteemed and unbiased has allowed all this Hash Bash shite in the main Forum (shame on him .... think I should start a poll to see if he should be formalay repremanded .... somehow think that Nicke maybe a closet Hash Basher as he has stayed very quiet on this issue ... oh well wait 'til I get back .....
......especially Geir ..... burning Viking lumberjacks ....  OK more to follow .... and no moving my thread Mr D ... MrDK for Mod !!  (hes been far to quiet recently).

Back to Phuket now - its about as wet as the UK ... what happened to all the global warming ??
Fly out with Qatar air - outbound via new airport was OK and never have had better service in economy that with Qatar - starve yourself before you fly - could not eat all the food offered - 2 meals on each leg (BKK-DOH, DOH-LGW) - Doha was dinky airport ... not much to do but electronics ok value. Return leg was good again - that is until to BKK - then had to go from new to old airport after 16 hours journey. At Gatwich they checked our bags to HKT, but I decided to check in BKK what would happen as our connecting TG flight was from Don Muang - lucky I did check as our luggage was offloaded to the courasel where we had to clear immigration and customs. Options for transfer - taxi (800 Baht EACH!!!) - thought sod the cnuts and decided on the bus option .... so anyone wishing to do this should take note... Take the free Shuttle Bus to the Suvanabhoom (watever) Bus Terminus and then take Bus 554 of better still Bus 555 (I kid you not) to Don Muang. The cost of the bus is 34 Baht  . The advantage of bus 555 (which indicates its going to Rungsit) is that if you ask they will go right to the Departure Gate at Don Muang. Bus 554 which indicated to Don Muang stops on the opposite side of the road - so you have to lug your luggage across the busy road. The transfer took 45 mins on a Sunday.Rest of TR to follow - once I've sorted myself out a bit more ....

Time to finish off this TR - things I noticed since my last UK trip 2 years ago ....
1) Lots more 2 quid coins and grotty 'fivers' (inflation rife in UK). 2) 1 quid/litre petrol (was nearly there 98p most places) - thats 69 Baht here! 3) Better music channels - better music period! 4) Better lager/beer but you pay for it! Ave pint ~ 3 quid! (200 Baht). 5) Crap weather - was lucky for Eurohash - had 'hole' in the near continuous rain! 6) Service improved - surprised to find better standards of service; bars, shops etc - perhaps because so many Eastern Europeans working in SE England now. 7) 'Massive' jump in house prices - especially in London  .OK - now a few pix - On On ! 1) Mad Dane - ST66. 2) Sign of earlier Danish invasion. 3) ST66 acting was murder! 4) Crazy Danes! 5) Senior Marauders Outstation Run. 6) ST66 finds his Swamp Thing  7) ST66 enjoying ice time. 8) Marauders meet Pattaya Dirt Roader - Thai Hashers in the UK! 9) Royal Run (Hampton Court). 10) (3m quid) Typical English cottage (Black Park, Bucks).
