im hoping 2 get my thai gf 2 england in the next couple of months will she able 2 use her mobile over hear.what im trying 2 say is will she b able 2 get a signal or will she afto put an english sim card in etc vodafone or orange

Most like yes. The frequencies and systems used in Thailand is the same as UK. The only requirement is that her phone is unlocked. If she is able to install an over the counter SIM card from Thailand (I.e. 1, 2 go), she should be able to install any SIM card in the UK.

If she is coming to the UK and you are not traveling with her, you may want to send a SIM card to her in advance so that the moment she is in your country you can connect.

For her sim to work, unlikely, as for the phone itself it will depend on the model. Is it locked to her Thai network, is it triband/quadband etc etc.

If its open, than inserting a british sim will work. Or just buy a cheap phone/sim from somewhere like TEsco's here.

my 1 2 call sim swapped to vodaphone on arrival back in the uk..looks like thai networks have a roaming agreement

she may be able to use her own phone at inflated rates until u get to meet up with her

Don't forget the phone charger dude - she'll want a new UK one or an adaptor for UK sockets.
