Why do you stay in hotels???

Yes I wonder! I hire small/house-locals-type.

I have a small living-room, with TV, dvd-player, a bed-room a kitchen and a bath-room.

I payed for 2.5 week 10.000 Bath!

And no problems to bring girls! I once took in 24 houres, 3 different girls!

So why do you stay in a hotel? On top of that the guy hired me an exellent motorbike for 100 bath/day! Ok, not in Patong, but very quiet place behind the wat of Karon. But Karon is rather central, to go to Phuket-town, Patong and to kata-beach, my favorite beach!

10,000 baht for 17 day’s – ok that seems not expensive! But you have to pay for water, gas and light, aircon .....! Of course this are not so much extra cost.
But I pay 17,000 baht in a small hotel; have TV, double bed, aircon, refrigerator with water, extra bathroom also.
The room is every day cleaned, get every day new towels for the room and the beach, have a security in the house, have a reception with a separate safe, know the owner of the hotel who can help me if I have some problems, the room is 2 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from Bangla.
At Christmas I get a free Christmas menu and a present!!
I know some of the guests in the hotel which come every year (have a lot of fun together). I also can take more as one lady to the room without any joiner fee.
I think for this little bit more of money for accommodation I have more comfort!! :p

Hotels v Private

Hi there . . .

For the past two years I have stayed at C & N Hotel on Rat-U-Thit, just diagonally across from the top of Soi Bangla. Air-con, Large Bed, Cable TV, small Balcony.

For this I have paid 5,250 Bht per 7 day week. (750 Bhat per night).

I reckon this is great value, and no questions asked about who you may want to take back for the night. One, Two or more, no problem!

Cheers

Pdm3

Personally, I used to stay in a 40 sq meters appartment with airco, TV and room service; located at a walking distance (15 minutes) from Bangla and 5 minutes from the beach.
Regards,
Bobby

hmmm i stay in a 4 bedromm house all to myself for at the very most a 1000bht a night depending on how busy they are .all you pay for extra for is 10bht every time you need your 20l water container filling for drinking water,
next time i might stay at c&n as i should have my dear old dad with me and well sharing a house on holiday with him is a bit you know.
otherwise its the house every time for me .
anyone interested in renting the house let me know and i can put you in touch with the owner, she is very nice but i have never tried it on with er as she is just a friend to me and i know her sons.
will find a photo of the house to show you all.

C & N

Have only been to Thailand twice but 2nd time I went to Phuket as Pattaya was a bit too much for me and I like clean beaches. Stayed at the C & N because of board members recommendations. It was great. Airport pickup was free, the rooms were ok, the staff were very friendly and, as mentioned before on this forum, I couldn't believe the number of id cards that were held at reception.
As I only saw 3 other girls retrieving their cards at about 10am I guessed there were another 20 (50???) or so doing various things in the other rooms.
However I like to stay in Guest Houses as they are a bit more personal and you can usually strike up a good friendship with the owners.

Yes, but the owner of the house were very nice too!

No other hotelguest, just a neighbour in the 2 nd part of the house!

No extra costs, airco too!

For the hotel, looks fine indeed, but i prefer to go back to Karon, because in the day I prefer the beach in Karon and espacially Kata!

Check out this hotel - Stoney Monday

It's a little farther down the road from C&N but it's clean and new and my friend runs it. The hotel is called Stoney Monday and they have a website. You can get a very nice room for 600. maybe cheaper during the low season if you stay a long time. The owners name is Rell and he has a hotel in Perth as well. Pool table in the lobby but no pool. Much cleaner and nicer and newer than C&N and no joiner fee also DVD, TV, also nice robes. Rell is just a friend who sometimes has steak night at the hotel (27 room) so I have nothing vested in the operation. Check it out when you stay in Patong.

Hi Apollo
The name is SWEET APARTMENT and is in front of the Patong Tower.
It is a small hotel in the first floor. If you come from the beach go the way left of the jewellery shop 50 meters on the right site. There is also the restaurant with the same name.
