How did you find out about LOS?

For me, during a 6 month deployment(US Marines, we ride with the Navy for deployment) back in 1996. Trained first with the Thai Marines somewhere in the east coast Thailand. Then went to Singapore for a 1 day training and 3 day liberty. Then went to Phuket. We had 2 other ship, 1 went with us to Phuket. The other one went to Malaysia. Stayed in Duangjit hotel. Since its the military, all night spent in Bangla.

2nd deployment, went against to Phuket.

About Singapore, i really like the country. Friendly people.

was a stop on the plane trip from Sydney to London when I was a kid in the 60s....still is only now its the only stop.....and my parents would always stopover for a few days either in BKK or Singapore.....I have the bset memories from those days....

First solo was with a mate on the way to Europe again in the mid seventies and then a few years later on a surfing trip....which was my first time in Phuket

2 contracts ago our golf pro onboard had just come back from Thailand. He kept telling us in the crew bar his crazy stories..... Joined this forum and one of the 1st Trip reports I read was Northern Exiles..... couldn't stop laughing at his antics and story telling....

Myself and my mate onboard were both leaving at the same time and decided to book it and go!!!!!

never looked back!

place i used to work at one of the security guards used to visit bkk every year. he was full of stories of his escapades...everyone thought he was full of shite until i discovered for myself...he wasnt lying!
