Bad weather everywhere!!
Not sure I entirely subscibe to the global warming theories but having lived in Spain for 17 years, I have never seen this before.
I was in UK at the time and my cars were in garage. Whew!! Weather in Marbella Spain rocked with hailstones the size of golf balls - Marbella News on the Costa del Sol

These are serious rocks which came down there Dennis.
I grew up in the Alps, Bavaria/Germany, and have seen them even larger, like tennis balls, that was donkey years ago. But, to report back to you, there's not bad weather everywhere. Since our move to Dubai in June I haven't seen a single rainy day. Sunshine and blue sky non-stop. And it's getting really nice now temparature wise...BBQ season has started til May next year, yesss :-)
