SFX CinemaCity Jungceylon IS OPEN
Doesn't seem to have been very well publicised but it's open and 4 movies are showing.
Showtimes are listed here>>>
SF Cinema City
120baht Monday to Wednesday...140baht Thursday to Sunday but they do also have a Passport deal>>>
WEEKLY 290baht
MONTHLY 690baht
Those Passport deals are for unlimited visits and also include discounts off some of the Combo food.
I'm off to see The Kingdom

That's pretty good value!
I don't go to the cinemas much here (prefer watching films at home) but this could be something to pass the time on a rainy day.
I assume the Western movies are screened in English language with Thai subtitles?

Yes they are and if you've not been in an SFX before the sound systems are excellent and the seats have plenty of legroom and recline a bit. Also the back row has luxury sofas at 400baht a go. Not like the old "back row of the cinema" days!!!!!! These days you can do it in comfort......watch a movie I mean

Finally! Prices seem reasonable. I'd go for the pass!!
Saw The Kingdom. Very suspenseful, well-acted, but a bit grim, especially the ending!

Isn't that more expensive than central? I think Central is 120 baht or regular days and has a special 90 baht day.
So if the movie is a long one or if you do dinner and a movie, do you still have to pay for parking after 3 hours?

Central is 100 and 120 I think so Patong is 20baht more...but if you live in Patong it costs more than 20baht in gas to go to Central :-) I've no idea about the parking...I don't have a car.

do they have a first class lounge as in Central?
ok it's more expensive, but it's fun for once in a while (ans still cheaper than a cinema ticket over here)

Not of the 4 that are open now but there is still 1 to complete. Maybe that is to be a 1st Class one?

i too went to see The Kingdom at Jungcylon last night.
1) Great film, very very realistic and though the ending may well be "grim" as Jaybee says it is also a true to human nature.
2) Jungcylon cinema was good though the movies were runing late while they ironed out minor issues. Also the screens showing the movies that were on and what times were not working yet.
3) They do fresh Caramel popcorn!!! w00t!
