Is Currency Exchange for foreign bank notes to Baht favourable at the moment?

When I travel to LOS I like to carry some cash to supplement my credit and debit cards.

Does anyone know what the current Currency Exchange rate is using street booths in Patong and Pattaya for Australian Dollars to Baht at the moment?

For conversion of your cash to Baht are these places competitive, or are there better options?

Critical

Click on the purple "Currency Exchange Rate" Box to the right of your screen, a new window/tab will open in your browser listing all the exchange rates.

But as a guide, we should be getting 30-31 Baht per AUD, which is a pleasing outcome.

Heh CM when you read my post just flick your eyes temporarily to the right, about on a horizontal line..........................................Bang kok Bank exchange rates.................................I'm not sure either but I reckon I'd guess at the exchange rate being about 68.89, which I reckon is a whole heap better than what you'd get in an Australian bank.

Heh just realised of course your from Australia and the screen is all upside down, okay then youv'e got to scroll down until the bit on the left appears, if not understandable try standing on your head.....................and if you can do that, ever consider a job in the circus?????????

Edit to the above, again just thought about the fact that being Australian you would not neccessarily want the exchange rate for the pound to the baht, in which case, you'll have to flick on the bangkok bank link and put in the dollar to baht rate....................don't ask me how many havn't got a clue about aussie dollars, or aussie shielas or aussie meat pies, except the latter tastes good!!!

Thanks Dodger & Bello Uomo

30-31 Baht to the $AUD is very pleasing compared to earlier in the year.

I saw the conversion tool to the right of the screen.

I was hoping to get reports from the street.

Often these may vary from official rates. For example at the airport they rip you off.

Yeah, the AUD is performing well at the moment against a range of currencies, but most noticeably against the USD and USD-linked units.

I'm planning a trip to Sth America next year, with a bit of a stopover in California, would be amazing if AUD-USD was near parity at the time.

Last time I was in the US, the AUD bought about 63-65 cents.

isn't the bhat linked to the dollar? So if the dollar goes down in value, the bhat goes down as well?
However on the xe.come site it still shows this rate :
1.00 EUR = 45.6537 THB

No. The baht is independent to the $US.

At present it is about 31.25 BHT for 1 AUD(Austaralian Dollar).
The highest it has been for a longtime for "the Aussie Bleeder"
