Hang on a minute, Aldi and Lidl were great as long as they sold the real German stuff in the supermarkets abroad.
At one point they shifted too much towards a UK style market and you couldn't get the autistic goods anymore, especially the sausages and other meat stuff, it was all cans of cheap bacon and beans at the end. The same goes for markets in Ireland.
What's the point in opening a market abroad and losing their unique identifiers?
Further on, I saw yesterday on TV that Tesco opened the first branches in the US now (after failures of Sainsbury and the likes before trying). If they were going to offer the same selection as the original US marts, what's the point other than starting a price war for a temporary time?
