Hang on a minute, Aldi and Lidl were great as long as they sold the real German stuff in the supermarkets abroad.

At one point they shifted too much towards a UK style market and you couldn't get the autistic goods anymore, especially the sausages and other meat stuff, it was all cans of cheap bacon and beans at the end. The same goes for markets in Ireland.

What's the point in opening a market abroad and losing their unique identifiers?

Further on, I saw yesterday on TV that Tesco opened the first branches in the US now (after failures of Sainsbury and the likes before trying). If they were going to offer the same selection as the original US marts, what's the point other than starting a price war for a temporary time?

Yes, the same in Holland. Cheap but lousy stuff and these stores are mostly visited by immigrants from the middle east origin...

Xmas doesn't really bother me but it would be fun to have a suit for xmas night in Patong, I'll think about buying one.

This could lead to all BM's dressing up as Santa for Xmas and touring Bangla
