I thought he would just give me the injection and i'd be of,
How wrong was i, He lectured me for about 20mins on the dangers
of thailand, bar girls, diseases shit when finished i had second thoughts
But **** it i thought about it, And im still going so then he decided to
give me the injections, Well i thought i was getting one injection the
**** gave me FIVE hepA/hepB/tetenus/typhoid/polio/diptheria my arms
are hanging on by a tread, And now he wants me to take tablets for
malaria!!!

So i need help do i need to take these tablets as im only going for
two weeks in phuket and i dont plan doing much traveling around
the island...

P.S: Ive just found out why i got the big lecture, My ma was on the
phone to the doctor and asked him to talk to me about the dangers in
thailand

You dont need tablets for malaria, it not an infected zone, dont think there is a problem with malaria in Thailand.

Those malaria tablets have been known to make people sick just taking them. You dont need them in Phuket, but naturally it's "up to you!!" I didnt think anyone went through the shots thing anymore. The only tablets you need to take are Vit B for the morning after.

Seriously though, if you feel uncomfortable then by all means take the pills.

In Sweden doctors recommend malaria tablets only if visiting north thailand or planning to go into the Jungle. I am vaccinated for Hep wich required 3 injections, the first two within a week and the third after 6 months or something. I think it was called Havrix.

I had never problem with bottles of water, it's safe.

About malaria, I met a couple of French pepole 3 years ago who had taken Larian against this disease. It was hell for them. The secondary effects are really bad and can make us depressive. I remember they felt no good at all and the woman was crying for nothing.
As Nicke says, the is no risk if you dont go to the jungle where there are too much mosquitoes.

I have travled all overthe world including Africa and SEA / Indo and NEVER take jabs always eat the local gutter stall type foods and nearly never have any issues but..

After Song Gran I got a fever... Since then I have not been right.. Sweats.. Fevers.. Headaches... no energy.. Lieing in bed more than normal.. etc... I was putting it down to the not ever getting to sleep until 6AM and blaming it on hangovers (pills thrills and bellyaches !!!) and xanex for sleep expresso to wake etc...

But this week got bad again and mates told me some Hep B horror stories that worried me.. Went and got blood work done and it seems I have had typhoid for 2.5 months.. The Doc was stunned I have had it this long and am still walking around I didn't have the heart to tell him I figured it was just the wages of sin !!

Anyway on LARGE doses of antibitotics and antibaterials to flush the blood strem.. Off the pop for a week I guess.. Made 2 days so far, today was a nightmare watching the rugby with a soda !!!

Weight loss... I wish.. Help me work on the beer gut !!! I may have lost 4 KG's or so but that depends on if the scales in the Hospital and the pharmacy where I last checked are both accurate.. doubt it..

I do have one hell of a consitution though... I nearly never get ill and when I am ill I simply ignore it mostly.. Work through it !!!

Having had a serious personal isuues this year I have been burning the candle both ends a lot this year and so somehow this has been burning away even while I am binge'ing away...

Vaccinations and shit

I suppose hep a & b + polio + tetanus are always gonna be worth having , but your doctor like mine is talking the biggest load of BOLLOCKS i ever heard , think about how much those malaria tablets cost , now you see why he wants you to have them ? I brought some once , waste of time dude , could have shagged many bg's with the money i wasted ...dont bother i assure you now you WILL NOT catch malaria going to patong , as for water , again hes talking BOLLOCKS and obviously hasnt been to los , i drink every brand of thai water they sell in 7 eleven , i also ate food from many market stalls and street vendors in patong /bangkok/ Issan
dont worry about it m8tey ....just get you ass over there strap on a durex (best health tip you can have for los) and fcuk yourself stupid .
ps..wish i was going too ...you lucky devil you

There is one vaccination you may need, and that is a healthy dose of cynicism, so you don't end up with a broken heart. Have a great trip
