help with shopping
Can anyone give any help or advice on where the best places are to get good quality designer fake jeans watches hand bags etc .. how much stuff can u get away with bringing back home?

Bangkok, at the big markets. On phuket, I'd say Phuket Town market, copy football shirts on there at 350bht before haggle price!!!
But Bangkok is much cheaper and more choice, than Phuket for most things.

It really depends on your bargaining skills. Generally first timers pay far too much for what they get. I will not pay any more than a third of the original asking price, I usually pay less than that.
Always remember you are the one with the money. The seller only makes a profit if you decide to buy. You can choose the seller you wish to buy from. I agree that Bangkok is by far cheaper than Patong, to get a bargain in Patong you must be prepared to haggle hard. Normally the amount of stuff you can take home is restricted by weight unless the stuff you bought is valuable.

MBK shopping centre bkk is worth a visit, has all fake good quality designer jeans etc, made to measure. worth a day in bkk, when you get the jeans you want you can also drop into eden for a beer or 3sum.

I agree with mickthehorn MBK in Bangkok is the best that I have found for price and quality. I always stop in and buy a few good fake Tag watches for my mates and they seem to last for ever, in fact I am wearing one that I bought 2 years ago and it still runs perfect and looks great.
MBK is also a great place for Jeans, I love the fact that most shops have a sweing maching right there and will do alterations on the spot, and not just cut and heam but they actually put the real heam back on. In Phuket, I have found some have decent jeans in the market in Karon but they are a little more expensive. Good luck and have fun shopping!! Gman

In some countries bringing home fakes is no problem if for personal use, so e.g. one piece is not a problem. But if you bring many quantities of same product then they might think with intention to sell and then you have problems.

into norway it is aloud to take fake clothes with you to personal use...yust been
a case here in norway where a gyu won against a big compani like ralf lauren ..in a court...and they come from to taking it to norway for gifts ore personal use is aloud
