Changing money back in England

Alright all,

I've got a load of the lower notes, 20baht, 50 baht, 100 baht, about £30 £35 in total, not a lot but just wondering if anyone knows if travel agents will take the low numbered notes? Be a handy few quid if they do, though just wondering if some only take 1000s, 500. Cheers.

Can't give you a definative answer, but why not put them in your wallet and try your bank and Thomas Cook and find out. Be prepared to get a pretty lousy return rate though.

If you don't go yourself soon, don't you have any friends who go to Thailand within the next few months? You can always sell the excess Bahts to them for the middle rate, so they do pay less than the real rate and you get more than the real selling rate.

That is how me and some friends deal with foreign currencies where possible. In that case you can even exchange your coins too.

By the way... the 5 Baht coin perfectly fits in the shopping carts at the supermarket... 555555...
