Wow! Checked this out last night. Somebody has made a big investment in this place. Very expensive fittings and the place is enormous. Stretches the whole length of the building on the ground floor with about 15 new pool tables and more on the 1st floor. Beers only 70baht and pool 20baht. Fear the location is going to make it tough for them but probably the owner is in for the long game...within a year or so that stretch of road from the back of the hospital to Jungceylon will be wall-to-wall guesthouses; shopping plazas and massage shops.

Really hope it does well and stays around because it's excellent. Nice touch were some free french fries and tomoto sauce..made a change from peanuts!

Have kept my eye on that place since they started renovation on the newly built building. Top quality materials and good workmanship. have only glanced in since it opened but will make the effort to look inside.

Not sure how much the 20 baht pool will last as most places in "Rip Off" Patong these days is 30.

I heard on the grapevine that from beach road to top of bangla will be almost BG free in the next 2 to 3 years. Apparently leases are not being renwed in soi Tiger and i believe it will eventually be knocked down and a hotel in its place. Basically the idea is to move the mongering bars and wh@res up around the top of sansabai through to nanai, which would explain why there is so much activity around nanai these days. This will make way for the family and couples scene in the main areas and clean up Patongs image....

While that is the objective they should also consider torching all Tuk Tuks inc drivers,motorbike taxis, Muay Thai advertising vans, and Loud speaker advert vans and introduce the good ole baht buses.

Am I right in guessing, that this is the place at the far end of soi san sabai......On the corner, where the 3 new g/houses are?

was in there last friday and saturday night,spoke to the owner he also owns tiger and everything else that goes with it, so i think he is in itfor the long haul,but a really nice place.

I have been keeping an eye on this.. Could be a superb daytime venue like BKK's beer garden.. IF they can get girls in there FL'ing..

I like the location etc.. And its huge !!

The grapewine is not true, still leases on sois lasting for many years to come. I can only think of Tiger maybe being knocked down.

And how boring would Bangla be if just an extended stretch of Beach road?

Leases or no leases if they decide to relocate the bars, is there a problem with them offering alternative location??

Personally I like the idea of them moving bar street to that area, especially if they also put in some parking and unthai like, a bit of forward planning??? Would keep the beach and road back as far as ratty road for the holidaymaker, more hotels shops etc and the nightlife just that bit back.

Probably won't happen though!!
