Cambodja? Langkawi?

How is the best way to get there?

I am going 2 times to Los this winter! In November, alone, having fun with the bg's and in February with my regular....wife

In November I would make a stopover in Bangkok, visit Eden-Club, then to Ayuthaya, and I would love to see Angkor in Cambodja!

In February our base will also be Phuket! But I would like to explore Langkawi and also see Kuala Lumpur, all this with my wife!

When I am back after that in Phuket, the 2 girls will come over, and stay a week with us!

But how to organsise the best Cambodja? Alone, tour? Where to stay?

Maleisia same thing!

Thanks for your sugestions!!!!

There are no direct flights frm HKT to Langkawi (that I know of) so you would either do a Hat Yai and overland it for a bit or could consider using Air Asia (500 baht flight) to KL and then KL to Langkawi..

Personally I find Langkawi to be a bit dead and boring.. Unless your a yachtie in which case the obvious way to travel would be...

I am afraid we dont have any direct flight to Hat Yai too, When I went to buy a ticket to Hat Yai in March I were told this route were cancelled. I had to take the bus, ough.

Both Air Asia and Thai Airways have flights to Hat Yai from Bangkok. I really hope Air Asia will introduce a Phuket-Hat Yai route soon.

I have never been to Langawi, so it would be nice to see a report and some pics. hint hint

Well you will have to wait, quiet some time! As I am going in February!

But you will see ME in November!

Actualy you did see me before! I went to your bar the day my gf dumped me, and was not in the mood!

I drank a soda, no girl came to sit beside me and I just went! I think the only night in LOS that I went alone to my room!

But that was MY fault!

I think the girls feel you mood. I had another customer another day and I asked why nobody talked to him, they told me he didnt smile and doesnt look interested. I dont understand the girls.

If you are in MTB please ask someone for me and I will be happy to meet a fellow board member.

I have been in Malaysia 3 years ago. It was with a tour operator and I paid 1750 euro for 19 days, flights included, spending 3 days in KL and the rest in Langkawi. Very nice hotels.
In Langkawi I have staid in Sheraton Beach Hotel http://www.starwood.com/sheraton/sea...propertyID=281

Langkawi is more savage than Phuket, as there are less tourists. I dont remember a European tourist there. many people from Sngapore, Korea and may be some Australians.

We can see a lot of monkeys, exotic birds, etc evreywhere in the hotel, on the road, on the beach.

I dont like too much Malaysian food and I ate almost everyday Chines food. They say that they can also make Thai food, but it's really different, they just make chinese food a little bit spicy. So I was a little bit disappointed because I like real Thai food.

It was a nice trip, very quiet and it's possible to make a lot of trips around the island.

Diffeent people too. langkawai is mostly muslim. very friendly but I dont think you will find a hot nightlife there. As I was still with my Belgian GF, I didn't look for it.

Nice country, I am happy to have been there, but I definitively love Thailand.

I know it's possible to take a boat from Langkawi to Phuket, but I dont remember the rates and I am not sure it's possible to get a one way ticket.

Hope this helps

As aid, the February trip is with my wife, and I am sure she will love Langkawi!

Anyway, as said, February will be wife-banging, wich is OK, she still turns me on and is a great mate! November is something else, BG's whole holliday, maybe I'll take one one toCambodja, if she can have a visa!!!

No fun no good!

TG's naturally like having fun as soon as something or someone is not they become disinterested very quickly.
