now i'm back on line, you posted about your mate or friend in april that he called his family and said he's in prison and needs £15,000.
have you got a answer about it or was it a scam just to get some money

this wouldn't happen to be Jason would it ?? The number is about what I heard his bail was...

Also his ex room mate just got pulled and did a few days inside then escorted out the country.. bugger owed me too !!

yes it is jason
he did get banged up and as far as i no he is on bail.i gonna try find him when i back there in a couple of weeks.he is probably better off in jail there as he is wanted big time over here,he owes left right and center and has pissed off some big boys big time.he apparently robbed one mates house before he last went to patong,and the guy is coming to phuket to find him if he finds out of me that he is out of prison.this turned out to be the wrong guy to rob.itsa a pain as i no him real well and his family,he is a con artist but i dont wanna get involved,but seem to have got dragged into it.
baz it was the guy i pointed out to you on the beach one day in april.

Yes i do remember him from the beach and we saw him in tiger complex when we visited there.
then when we came home you said he got banged up and needed money for bail but the way he stitched people up in Engfland maybe he may be in prison a long time or is he on bail now.Linvin los you seem to now a lot of expats good and bad one's. shame you lost money with jason's mate.
pity you didn't meet steve about some of his stories about jason, not the best one's to keep company with but like me i take people on face value.

It was not a lot of money... TJ did not have enough to buy a drink one night and as I knew him I just slipped him 2k under the table so it did not look to the girls like he had nothing in his pocket and we could keep drinking after Dragon via underground.. Nothing to cry in my beer about.

Jason has big debts over here too I hear 300k to one person as well as other less serious ones all around. If I was Jason I would be accross the Laos or Cambodia border already (by boat no passport control piece of cake up there) and declared passport lost in Laos. No way your gonna get me to do 20 years in a Thai jail for a measly 15k !! you can always make more money, you cant ever get that 20 years back.

as far as i am aware he is still inside as he cant get the money for the bail,not 100% tho.and no1 will lend him the cash.

It was your post above that made me think he was out and able to make a run for the border... I can add another little titbit then..

So the story goes his parents raised the money (with a struggle) and talking to someone on the phone (call him R) R said to them to make sure they wire it to a lawyer of someone they could trust.. R has plenty of money and would not do the dirty and even volenteered to have it wired to him for safekeeping as he told them everyone would be out to rip them off and no officials etc could be trusted when you were not here to oversea the process..

The story I heard is they have wired it to another farang who claimed he would help who has now pocketed the money and has not even bothered to do a runner.. The other guy just got the wire and has not paid the bail. This is all unconfirmed bar talk, but from a mate very close to the whole issue.

very interesting.as i said i no his family very well,and as far as i no they havent paid up anything.he has stole from them all before and vast amounts and they where well dubious of the whole thing.they had a guy call up saying he was from the embassy and if they sent money to him he could get him out and avoid all the hassles,they have also received letters from lawyers saying they are helping him.it is all so dodgy.i told his brother not to pay but what can you do.he only has a mother and i no she hadnt got the money.so unless his brothers paid which i very much doubt then it is false.i will find out this weekend i am out with siome mates and will probably see his brother.

OK I know as fact only the part up to R stating not to send money (and I was told he was talking to the mother did not know he only had one parent) the last part is as I say bar talk.. I will be seeing my mate close to the setup soonish and will find out..

Either way it seems this guy cant seem to play it straightwith anyone, family or friends.. Really ought to take a long hard look at his choices if he can get out and bunk it.
