Depressed after 1st trip to LOS
Hi everybody,
been reading this forum for a couple of months prior to my first tour - thanks for the tips that helped make the trip so memorable. Came with a large group who had mostly been to LOS before, so also had lots of good advice there as well - thanks ST if you reading.
Did 9 days Phuket, 3 days Pattaya and 3 days B'kok. Enjoyed Phuket the most as so much smaller and a better feel to it. Also you made 'friends' all over the place. Stayed at Patong Villa on beach road - absolutely perfect - no joiner fee and able to use pool (not just for swimming!)at 4 am when coming home. Very friendly and reasonable rates.
Been back at work for a week now, in which time i have not been able to concentrate on work at all, and might as well not be there. All i can think about is how to get back out there as soon as possible. Unfortunately, wife might not quite understand why so desperate to go back. I read somewhere on the forum, where someone said it was like being a virgin again, and rediscovering how exciting casual sex with lots of beautiful, friendly, young girls who act as if they really care for you, can be. I was like the proverbial kid in a candy shop - and boy did i make myself sick!
What surprised me most, was how nice all of the girls were - the ones i picked anyway. I know it is their job, and they get well paid (by me anyway), but they have such a nice disposition and attitude towards us. It was only on very rare occassions that the lady left my room before 3 or 4 the next day - so much so that everybody is commenting on how i never got much of a tan on my 'golf' holiday! I tell them that it is the rainy season in Phuket.
No doubt i will post on many topics now i got some personal experience, but this is just a general hello to all out there and thanks for the background that you all gave me that helped me fulfill all of my dreams and fantasies on my first trip - but I'm working on some new ones for my next trip!!

Don't worry Chanook this is normal the post LOS gets better after about two weeks most of us have gone through this many times unfortunately it doesn't improve the more trips you make but at least you know it's coming.
If you start concentrating on working towards your next trip it relieves some of the anxiety.
Of course it's a major blow to the ego when you get back to reality that's why the board is good not only for advice but for understanding.
BTW hope you got some photos of you and your buddies playing a few rounds of golf to show the wife.

Join the club. What you are experiencing is called Post-LOS Syndrome. It is something all the BMS have had, some many times. You have a typical case.
I posted the "Like a Virgin Again" comment. Nice to see someone is reading my posts. Thanks.
This is the PLS therapy group. Talking and sharing feelings and experiences with other BMs will help during the tough transition period back to normalcy. The comments I highlighted from your post are the things that we all feel and are amazed by. It's why we love LOS and love BGs(who are cheap dirty wh*res to the ignorant masses of farang women and some stupid men, as well). Unfortunately, PLS is the price you pay. We love it when BMs on tour post up their escapades to us, as it fills us with the flavor and excitement of the experience all over again, and allows us to live vicariously during the long months until it is our turn again. Check out Irish Jonny's current posts to see what I mean. And if you get the time check out 2 old posts, 1)Post LOS Ramblings by River which is all about PLS, and 2)Life-Changing Experiences by MikeGB. Very good reading for someone going thru the acute phase of
PLS. Hang in there amigo. You will never be quite the same again, but you will survive. We are here for you.
