Low Carb Beer Advice
G'Day
Need some advice on low carb beer in LOS
With the huge success (Low Carb Beers) are having in Oz at the moment,is there any brewers in LOS producing same.
It seems like a new Blonde or Super Dry beer is coming out weekly here & all the major co's sales are rising faster than standard brews.
I suppose it's good when your a big fat old bastard (like me) who wants to shed a few kilo's,but still enjoy a beer or ten.

As I am of a similar current construction and unless your planning months in los it will mean jack unless you MUST lose weight. Then do not drink at all.
Fark that!
In Patong, everyday, I walk, swim, fart, eat very well, and then I wake up.
In reality, I am more active than I am at home for I find the TG's have more encouragement for my unsvelt body than the nagging hags of OZ.
Drink Sh1tloads of what you can manage.
Find a lady TG, embrace the scenario, and burn your issue away.
After two weeks I usually drop 8kgs, and my knuts look like two prunes hanging in the bottom of a fishnet stocking.
Bring on April.

Here's a tip which guarantees you'll lose weight Telex.
Don't eat wheat or wheat products.
If you love thai food, you'll find avoiding wheat will be easy.
No bread, pizza, pasta, cakes, biscuits, donuts, lasagne , sausages, weet bix, hamburgers, sandwhiches etc.
There are many other carbs you can replace wheat with to keep your energy levels up.
If you choose thai noodle dishes, ask for rice noodles instead of wheat noodles.
Other good carbs are rice, potato, oats (porridge), to name a few.
All you need is the will power and before long you'll need a new wardrobe.
Oh yeah, and as Kerbin said, lots of indoor aerobics.

Yes it is low carb. Many people drinking it now but they all put a lime wedge in to make it taste of something, it completely lacks body and flavour.

Why would anyone drink a beer that needs fruit stuffed in it?
Spirits are a different story.
One of the few good thing's to come out of the UK is a lovely "starting the day after the night before drink" called the Gin and Tonic, with lemon/lime.
The quinine in the tonic water will assist your ongoing battle with malaria in los, (not) and the citrus in the chosen fruit, too battle the scurvy you may experience on your way home from Jame's Bond Island.
Then take a nanna nap. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think we all have differing tastes when it comes to beer.
A mate of mine loves full flavored heavy beers and often drinks a Stout or Guinness.
On the other hand, I find these overwhelm my gut and prefer cold filtered beers which some say lack flavor.
One thing is a must for me though. The beer must be cold.

I think Singha light is as close as you get, but it's still 2-3% alcohol.
Anyway, if you ask nicely Im sure you can get some water served in a beer-bottle...........Healthy, and you still look cool.

....and knowing YOU, I'd still get charged for a bottle of beer
I did drink that Singa light and eventually got used to the taste.
Singa light shandy sounds like the answer - innit.

tried San Mig + Singha Lites on my recent bounce but found San Mig the better.....I'm not a beer drinker at all but could drink these very light blonde beers.....San Mig is not a low alcohol beer though still above 5% so that's why i favoured it...as well as more of a beer taste

I have tried all the blond and low carb beers and none of them work.
What has worked for me is I haven't had a drink sinse NYE.
I have lost 13 kgs in 3 weeks and i'm down to 97.
No BS! All I have done is increased my exercise but haven't changed what I eat. I am in training for the 100 km Oxfam trail walk and need to get fit. We have a team from walk and we need to raise about $10g fund raising.
the giving up the grog has been hard though, especially at HHH. My plan is to keep up the no grog theme until easter, and then 11th April when the walk is on.

I drink like a fish and eat like a pig in LOS and manage to drop 7-10 lbs on a 3 week vacation every time. It's the Thai trots that does it.

I always lose a bit a of weight in los (except last time as I couldn't walk), i think its due to the fact that I dont eat much during the day and the 24hr puke-a-thon that I tend to go through after 10 days. In fact, I only spotted myself in a photo on the MTB facebook page due to top I was wearing. Can you guess which top it was??????????? I look more defined than I remember being for a while.
AS for the low carb. I think I get rid of most of the carbs ive consumed after 10 days or so. But I always tend to change drinks every 2-3 days anyway.
