Safety Deposit Box in Phuket?

Anyone know of a reliable place offering safety deposit boxes in Phuket? Preferably in Patong?

Many hotels have room safes; is that good enough?

Thanks but no. I'm thinking of something that a bank might offer perhaps. I live in Patong, I'm not a tourist.

My brother asked a (long) while back.. He was told there were LONG waiting lists and got a distinct impression that the list may not have been fair (big bank customers, Thais, etc dont wait so long) and a bit of a run around. He also said he thought it very expensive but I dont know if he said what that is (he can be a tightwad).

I would go and ask the big banks in phuket town if I really needed one.
