How did we all manage???

i dont know what made me think about this, but i was thinking back to the 1st time i spent time with my now-gf
she didnt really speak to much English but we still managed to get along
some hand signals and a little book i bought

i remember having the recepionist in Phi Phi call her and send a speedboat to go pick her up in Phuket and bring her down to Phi Phi 5555

can you guys all remember way back when you 1st spent your 1st length of time with a bg/tg??

pretty funny when you think about it

My first time was actually not too bad as her english was quite good. I just thought she was rather educated..... now I think she was educated in a different way 55555555

"You need money for what?" "Your buffalo is sick and need some money, sure honey, no problem"

"You need money to buy two tyres for your parents car.... no problem at all honey" then I go to the village 2 months later and see the car. No engine! hahahahaha

It was not the first bg I stayed with, but the first that came to my mind reading your post.
This was in 1998 and she worked at the Butterfly Bar in Soi Sea Dragon.
I was 30 years old and she was 34, and she was really a beautiful girl.
I had met her a year before, staying with one of her friends from the go-go next door.

Despite her age she didn't speak well english, but we manage to communicate in a way.
She was the first girl I had ever touched that had silicon in her breasts, and I remember I was very fascinated by this.
We stayed together at the Merlin Resort for two weeks and had a great time.
I wanted to stay alone the last week of my holiday, and when I asked her to leave she started to cry and said she loved me.
When I returned to Patong about six months later she was not working there anymore, and I did never see again.

She washed her hair with Johnson's Baby Shampoo and every time I see a bottle in a shop I think about her.

She was a great girl!

Sooo right you are. Of course I can still remember how it was for me, cause it's only 6 months back. I still remember though as if it was yesterday, and I think that it's one of the events that I'll never forget in my entire life.

Still sitting in the plane from EU - BKK, it was a good feeling to speak to well educated stewardesses of the Thai Air, and I thought it'd be the same over there in the bars. Yeah, right ... So after the first 5 minutes at the first bar, I dropped like 95 % of the oxford certified super duper english expressions, and oh wonder ... it worked. Sentences without verbs became normal all over sudden, and I had hella lot of fun with the BGs.

Then, after taking out the same BG a couple of times, we also arranged some trips around the Island, and then one morning, she called me in the hotel. At the bar, you're used to complicated chats, using hands and feet to express yourself so she could understand it, but on the phone I was literally lost. 10 minutes of one of the most weird conversations I've ever had, and at the end everything worked out anyways. 55555

I can't really say that on my next trip to Phuket, I'll be much better prepared than the first time, but that's just another fun factor imho. I'll get myself one of those books from MTB and try to learn from it a tad, though ^^.

Thank's!

Yes, I feel a lot better now!
But I do get a good feeling when I think back to that time and her.
Only two weeks together, but can still remember almost everything now ten years later.

I thought she was naturally quiet.....five years later she doesn't shut up...
That first day she was my guide and was supposed to be helping me find the Museum of Forensic History at Siriraj Hospital Bangkok - I realise now asking her to guide me was like the Titanic adding a request for more ice to its SOS -

My first two weeks in LOS was an education on how to maximize ones income. I stayed with the same bg for the duration of my trip. After about 2 days, "darling I need money to go to dentist, darling my hair is not ok need money for hairdresser." She must have went to the dentist about 3 times, oh ! lets not talk about the hairdresser :-) All in all, my 1st experience was great, that's why I keep coming back. Its weird, newbie mistakes or not LOS always brings a smile to my face.
