v-plaza/valhalla
just got an email of jan,see below.looks like a closing down party at v-plaza end of april,and luckily i will be there.hope to bump into some of you there.
steve Dear friends! Unfortunately, Valhalla has to close down the 1st of may and I would like to thank you for personally joining us over the past 10 exciting years. There will be a "Goodbye Salute to Valhalla" party the 29th-30th of April 2008, so if you want to experience Valhalla for a last time, please book now!! However ,we have already found our new hotel and it is still in Patong. The Hill Top Hotel is already up and running, and you can find it at Hilltop Hotel in Patong Beach, Phuket island in Thailand. The homepage for Hilltop needs to be updated and will be done soon, in the mean time our old Valhalla e-mail addresses and web-pages will still be available. New Valhalla Party Dates
Just got a new E mail about Valhalla closing down party.It has been brought forward by two weeks.
The Valhalla Closing Down Party is now 14th and 15th April 2008.   This is smack bang after Songkran - could be a bad liver week.

shit. Just planned to stay there on my next trip.
I found this place thru this forum and had big fun there. Part of the fun was the good location, so it´s no good news they are going up the hill. Does anybody know why they close or have to close?

Lease is over
Jan's lease was over and it was too expensive to stay.Also street owner wants the land back to add it on to a large vacant lot beside Valhalla.He wants to sell the area on to a big hotel group.

Hi all yes valhalla will be closing on them dates. And i am still alive as long as i stay of the sangsom my doctor told stay of the drink for 2 months and i did had two tests everything ok just stick to beer he said and he said you are saving money with no drink go and spend it on sex. thanks for your concern masterwoodsman. Hope to see you all on closing 2 crazy days. regards jonny

Good to hear you are fine jonny. Just trying to change my schedule and mabe i can make it there befor closing.
If you are listening to your doctor it could be another reason for v-plaza to close :-)

Last stay - 2nd stay
Wow! Closing! I'm glad i booked my room back a few weeks ago. I'm staying there for Bike Week untill the morning of the 16th. Talk about timing. I stayed there two years ago from advise from you guys on here and had a blast. I'm sure I will have an even better time this year. Look out for the Biker from Philly, Yo!

I would check that room booking and not plan on any sleep for 14th onwards..
I heard they were having drunken fun yesterday.. The knocked the giant pig off the roof and into the pool.. Its officially in breakdown mode !!
