Hi, my sister is coming over with me and I wanted to take her some places she might find interesting, I am at a lost at the moment thinking. I thought maybe the disco Safari or even the gay area where men are, I know some of these men are not actually gay, anyone got any ides?

Welcome to the forum, although you have been a member for a fair while before your first post.

I think you need to tell us the sort of things your sister likes. Does she want to meet gay Thai men in Soi Paradise??

How about the snorkelling, different beaches at Karon Kata Surin Laem Sing.

Trips to Phi Phi, Coral Island.

Elephant trekking, Phuket Fantasea show, (take her down Soi Crocodile for an eye opener).

Other clubs, discos and gogos apart from Safari are Tai Pan, Baya Beach, Rock Hard, Club Lime Seduction, Dragon ,Banana.............

Drop into MTB and the BMs will make you feel welcome and give you a few more pointers to keep your sister amused.

I think she just wants some company really, bad relationship finished and she is coming away with me for a break. I have some ideas for trips for her but its the company side I am not sure about. I like the sound of Hard Rock never done it myself, I have not used any discos so don't know if a lot of single men go, the only reason I said the gay area was I could think of no where that men shows are on, I have heard of safari.

For trips I was thinking of an island for snorkelling maybe Phi Phi.

One thing is for sure, she will find lots of single men in patong ...
if she has a fairly liberal attitude she will have fun , if not Phi Phi would be a good place to try ....

Snorkelling on both Phi Phi and Coral Island is very good. A worthwhile day out.

You will find many single men at discos, but most will be looking out for Thai female company.

Go to the forum members bar in Soi Eric, off Bangla Rd and about the 5th bar down on the right you will find Mai Thai Bar. Introduce yourself, and both you and your sister will have plenty of company.

As long as she is relaxed and liberal, she will have a great time. Some of the shows will be worth visiting. Try Bannana on the beach front for a club, or Safari (but be very very careful of the tut tut scams), as you will find more 'normal' holiday maker, backpacker types there. Then there the moon parties of course, if your there at the right time.

Thai Elephant Conservation Center

I took their Three-Day Course and it was beyond description.

One thing to watch out for: the mahouts have a phrase to make the elephants de-trunk water... straight at the farangs. Think it was "zoom zoom!" By necessity the elephant's trunk is close to you... if you are quick you can grab the end of the trunk and point it back at the "prankster" mahouts.

But, really, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Who has time or energy for a conversation when my teelak's trunk has 11,000 muscles? Every one of which is a finely-tuned instrument of pleasure.

Need a cold shower. Fortunately around elephants one is constantly soaking wet... see the large pool pictures.
