cooling the beer
i'm goin to Thailand for my very first time upcoming february... and well...not that its my biggest concern but i was wondering... how do they serve the beer there?
do they serve glasses and put icecubes INTO the beer?? or can you also order bottlebeer ... and lets say put that bottle into a mug with ice? - kinda like a champagnecooler  cheers!

Most places serve bottled beers from a cool box. These bottles are put in polystyrene holders (condoms) to keep them cold. Problem here is that condensation runs to bottom of holder and when you tilt the bootle all the way back the water runs out.
Draught beer is served in chilled mugs from the freezer, and its not uncommon to ask for ice. Quite a few thais put ice in premium beers I am told.

Hi Seagate,
You can find draught beer, but most of the beer is in bottle (Singha, Chang, Carlsberg, Heineke ...) and you put the bottle in a frigolite mug to keep it cool. If you look at Thailand Photos, you will probably find a lot of pictures of BM's drinking this so good beverage  PS : Did you notice the amount of my bill ?

hahahaha! now thats what i call a bill!
what did you guys do? ordered a bathtub of beer and watched the girls play with the bubbles in there?? i guess i'll stick to the bottlebeer served in those holders. i could even buy me my very own one. and the cutest girls i meet and best friends i make during my trip may put a little drawing onto it. a nice souvenir, huh?
