thai eggplant
i was watching Iron Chef America and one of the chefs was using Thai eggplant
as the show is really fast paced, they didnt really explain anything about it
i love eggplant, but never tried thai eggplant, as far as i know
has anybody ever tried it and what does it taste like and how is it usually prepared?
thanks

Gday Marc26
I have them at home ,they grow on a nasty little bush full of thorns ,the insects love to eat the leaves.
my wife will eat them raw, they are the size of a cherry tomato and light green in colour,
she mostly throws them into the thai green curry dish and cut in half.
i think the taste is similar to the big black egg plant , maybe a bit richer.
regards JL

I make thai green chicken curry at home minus the egg plant and prefer it, something about the texture of it doesn't appeal.

all the thai green curries i have had have got those little aubergines/eggplant in them,i pick them out as they tend to be virtually raw and therefore woody in texture.

Yeah, you would much rather put it on the board and wait for Mikes sarcastic response that will include either the word "Wiki" or "Google"! Isn't that right!
