Rawai Muay Thai. Great setup and the guy who runs it is a good bloke.

20 - 30 mins..

The gyms out that end of the island (rawai / tiger) have much better training reps.

Now got Sinbi Muay Thai in the area as well (Rawai/Nai Harn), looks like a very good setup.

Sinbi is a long way from Patong.. New one in Rawai / Nai Harn..

A friend was doing some very casual lessons with them.. Not full workout stuff just strike training and beginner's bits. I havent heard his impressions but from the look of the place probably ok.

I think any of the basic gyms are going to be OK for a novice, its once you have a basic set of skills, can box and clinch a little, etc thats when you need to be much more selective to work on what you want to work on. Also not many of them have MMA / BJJ / Floor work yet.. I think they have a BJJ / grappling trainer at Rawai now.

One of my friends trained there a couple of times, the trainers didn't speak any english, but think the training was okey. But this was back in the end of 2006...
But thinks it's more towards excercise and not hardcore muay thai...
