How do you think they minimize the interviews (I know one place that claims no interview required on any of thier apps last year) ??
The 'job' of these places is not merely to fill in the forms for them, but to fill in the forms in the way that the embassy likes, minimize problems, provide a cover story, and get the visa. Thats the service people pay for.
A visa application to everywhere except the USA does nto need an agent, its the extras where they are needed.

If you're not happy then that's up to you, but that doesn't make them neccessarily bad at what they do.
You go to an agent in order for them to do something that you can't see a way to do - get your partner a visa. It might be the case that your partner has something about her that needs to be erased from her history, usually the fact that she is a bargirl with no employment history, so you either need to tell lies about it or not get a visa. Simple.
It may be that they are not doing you a dis-service by telling you/her to lie, it could be that they see it as the only way to get you what you asked them for.

Hey dazza, why don't you make yourself a bit more clearer in your postings, I think that would be helpful.
You post a lot of one liners, without greater detail.
I thought you posted a few weeks ago that your GF got a visa to norway turned around in one week.
Right, none of my business at all, I'm just thinking if she just recently got a Schengen visa, it's certainly
easier now and you can go without an agent?

Sounds like you haven't tried to get a visa before. If your girl is a bargirl then she has to lie otherwise she won't stand a cat in hells' chance of getting a visa. The agency is doing nothing that they don't all do if necessary to help process the visa and whatever lies are used you need to know what they are so you both have your stories the same when you talk to immigration. Be prepared for a long wait too. There's often a 2 or 3 month waiting list just for the interview at the British Embassy.

Why on earth would they send her documents to you? Why can she not pick the documents up herself?

Silly me, should have thought of that. Maybe that's the problem, the agency doesn't have a branch in Oslo???

Dazza is from wales?
I have heard of people telling the true story and still got their visas, others make up a story and said she worked in a restaurant etc and also got their visas.
So I am not sure how much the work in the bar counts these days, maybe honestly is better?
I admit I have issued papers for girls in the past having a normal work in my company. Embassies never called to verify.

Ah, I remember that story now when you mention it. Is she in Norway or Thailand now?

I think you've really ****ed this one up. From what I’ve learned from the past 9 months of research on getting this visa; this is a fact and that is a visa company will not help in the slightest unless you are too stupid to do your own research. There is enough information on the net to get everything straight.
Also from what I’ve read most of these visa companies are scammers and even the legit ones are prone to ****ing people over, for example - not giving back documents when the customer changes their mind. Either they are 'lost' or 'embassy take already and not give back', some kind of bullshit to trick you into paying more, or so they can use them for some other purpose. Cut your losses and stay well clear.
Also regarding lying in your application - big mistake. Chances are you will get caught. You already said your girl is thick, so she'll most likely **** up in the interview and you'll loose your £500 quid. Telling the 100% truth is the best policy, to say she is a bar girl wouldn’t be the best idea but you can word it into something else. If you send her money because she doesn’t work anymore the embassy will want to see the receipts for that, it is proof of communication and it is proof you have the available funds to take care of her - so in fact it’s in your favor to be open about that. if she works then she just provides her work documents and bank details, you do the same, and it should all tie in. what ever you do don't lie because chances are if you are caught (Which is what will happen, these people are experts in sniffing out lies and inconsistencies), you wont stand a chance in hell when you come to re-apply (if you ever do).
1. Stay away from visa companies, you can do it yourself
2. Always tell the truth to as close as you can

Nine months of research makes you an expert? You are now knowledgable enough to condemn anyone who uses the services of a visa agent as 'too stupid' ??
Can I ask how many visa applications have been made in your nine month travail from zero to font of all knowledge? How much personal experience do you have, how broad is your knowledge base, that you can make such sweeping statements?
1 I used an agency and believe that we would not have got a visa for my wife without them. I may or may not be too ****ing stupid to do my own research, but I'm damn sure that you are not qualified to make that judgement.
2 Sweeping statements about how other people handle their visa applications are not helpful. They are all individual and need to be treated that way, in my humble opinion. WTF would you know about what constitutes a big mistake in a visa application? Are you seriously suggesting that rocking into the embassy and telling them that you met last year while she was working in a Pattaya go-go bar is going to make them look favourably on you?
