I Stop Work Now Because I Love You
I've had a quite intense connection with a bar girl I met in February in Patong.
So much so, that we've started the ball rolling.., for her to visit me for a couple of months in Melbourne where I live. So we can enjoy each others company again and to see whether there is enough feeling from us both to see if something more serious is possible in the future. A testing holiday you might say. (with benefits) She seems very keen, to come here to Australia, and there are probably a number reasons (not necessarily just to visit me) why she is keen to visit Australia. I have no problem with that at all. She has told me she has stopped working now that she is involved with me. Does anyone know whether there is a casual, no one knows or gets upset, service to check out whether she is in fact working or not? You know ... for someone to visit the soi off bungla.., have a chat and drink ect with her if she's there and report info back? It would be great to know this info in view of her professed love (alleged) for me. Any suggestions from experienced bm's about what I could do? Cheer florry

If you've got you're doubts already mate, get out of it now...
Out of interest how long have you known her, this is usually a good basis on how its gonna pan out... I would bet my house she is still frequenting the bar... not being negative mate but you are putting yourself in a very vulnerable position where you're likely to get hurt... Think about what you are actually doing and make the right decision, good luck

So many threads in this forum that will guide you in the eternal learnings of the ways of the Thai Bar Girl. Lots of success stories but for every success there are many more stories of disappointment. From what others have said before it seems to focus around your views of the relationship you want with her. If you want a loving monogomist (not sure of spelling) relationship when many miles apart it will be unworkable i am sure.

Thanks for concern.
She seems to have a bit of money... I'm not paying her, but I expect to pay for travel costs.. visa, ticket ect. She didn't expect me to pay for holiday initially anyway. but I will. As a matter of fact.. she hasn't asked me for anything financial at all yet. apart from paying for my time with her in Patong. And should I be scared if I've only known her for a few days? Sure.. this is why I'd like to make this early initial check. At the moment there is no lingering connection that can't be broken

Im sure others wil share their learned experiences with similar situations. I myself would go on good faith but thats me. Just as long as you keep an open mind and at the end of the day accept that you are getting into a realtionship with someone with a very different cultural background to yourself. One main difference is that money is something they will sell their bodies for to support their family. Given this I am sure she will do and say what you need to hear to make you feel good about her.
Always good to post a pic of her and see if someone recognises her.

There may be some reluctance on the part of some BM's to engage in this scheme.
I understand that at least one BM has been the victim of "kill the messenger" syndrome. And threatened with bodily harm, for giving such a report. But then, this is not your wife, your talking about.

If your seriously going to investigate here well from my point of veiw you clearly dont have enough trust in her. Sure you could get hurt, who has not in a relationship?. you have known her for a few days, give her a chance and the benifit of the doubt otherwise leave her be. If you choose to trust her and bring her into your life in melbourne just be aware that you can take the bar girl out of the bar but, well you know the rest. You may be one of the lucky ones and live happily ever after you will never know unless you trust someone even if she's from a bar in thailand.
