Hooters!
Ive just read the nightlife news bit on phuket-info and discovered that my most liked bar, Hooters was shut down. Does anyone know if it is still closed, has been closed for good, or has been re-opened?
Or where any of the staff are now working? Any replys will be most welcome!

Hooters were closed for a long time but now the whole area is being revamped into a shopping street, so Vegas boxing is also gone.
There is a new boxing stadium next to Rock Bowling. Regarding Hooters, the american chain (?) with scantily clad hostesses is also establishing in Phuket, I saw in Bangkok Post they are recruiting staff.

this is what some of the people who used to work there told me. they said that the french man who used to run/own the place was a noughty chap and diddnt pay his taxes in france when he went back for a visit the police nabbed him now he is doing four long ones. not too sure if this is the truth but that is what a few of them told me. as for some of the workers a coouple of them work in soi eric one in chi chi bar wa, and another in green fern bar toon also one in indian bar cant remember the name though. two in soi seadragon yeung in octopus bar ta in the bar opposite. another works down katoey street not sure what bar though.

I knew the owner and I feel sorry for him, he had a newborn baby and wife in Patong and now he can not take care of them.
Hooters had a staff party in MTB few years ago.

Dont think so (seems owner was in jail) and I hear hooters have pulled out of jungceylon also...

Hooters at Vegas soi has nothing to do with the chain that planned to open in Jungceylon thought.
However, I received an email recently from the old owner of Hooters, he told me he is coming back shortly to start/invest in new business.
