Was this a sign??
Today as I left my house and was walking down the hill a long tailed lizard ran out in front of me.I stopped to let the little critter pass by.It made it into the grass off to the side. Then a cat dashed out from under a parked truck and snatched the lizard in its jaws.I was too slow to grab the cat and rescue the lizard. The cat ran off with its mid day meal.
Was this a sign??

It's a sign you're getting too old to go chasing pussy.

You don't like cats but you like lizards maybe?
Twice in the last few days I've had 3 cats playing toss the big black scorpion up in the air on my balcony....I'll ask them.
...and no I didn't bother trying to save the scorpion.

Yes...the lizard (long tail = long life or age) is you and the cat is Thailand (Siamese) and the number of steps from your house equals the number of times you, a farang in Thailand, can expect to get ambushed and taken for a ride by a Thai and have you finances mauled, if not totally devoured.....Hope the cat was not mangy cause that would be a bad sign? Enjoy.

Another lizard story
Last night in Faultys I went into the gents and there was a big lizard clinging on to the bog brush. It was another long tailed one like the other. These are normally only seen in forests not bars.
I gently lifted the bog brush and took the lizard outside where I put it high up in the tree. The lizard jumped down off the tree and under the table. Then the fat cat from next door scooted out from under the pool table and grabbed it.This time I was able to rescue the lizard.I thumped the moggie with the bristle end of the bog brush and it dropped the lizard who escaped.
So - did I make merit by saving the lizard or did I place it in harm's way and get it hurt???

You put it in harms way. It is common knowledge that pussies don't go to the men's toilet. The lizard knew this and acted accordingly. It was safe there.

A series on TV by David Attenbourough about Lizards has just finished over here.
Are you trying to make sure he does't do another one, as there will be no lizards left ?????
